I couldn't help but laugh

Sadly Guide dogs do get it wrong sometimes. We had three or four of them in our office and one just couldn't remember where his owner's desk was; he'd get so far and then just sort of give up, leaving her stranded in the middle of the office and not knowing where she was. One of us had to get up and finish the dog's job for him!!
I know, without clicking on the link, the story you are talking about.
The story itself didn't make me laugh, more the comment from the fire service. How do they know? Did they ask the dog?
I think I'll be joining you.
Surely the other woman must have noticed the dog was leading it's owner to the river..
oooh dear!
mariets: Surely the other woman must have noticed the dog was leading it's owner to the river..
Thats what I'm confused about - how did two women need rescuing?
Maybe the second woman was a passer by and tried to help.
Kizmya Snow: Maybe the second woman was a passer by and tried to help.
I never thought of that.
P.S. Is your name supposed to read like 'cos I'm yours now?
A friend of mine works with the RNIB and told me about when she had a meeting of a group of blind staff with dogs. The dogs were under the table quiet and well behaved until she walked into the room with a tea tray and a plate of chocolate biscuits, then chaos, one dog who was known to be naughty on occassion made a break for the refreshments then the rest followed there was tea and chocolate everywhere, broken china etc
I'm laughing as well, bad I know.
whoops I'm joining you on that bus.
my mum puppy walked once, and Offa was the only dog she knew that would drink and piddle at the same time. We still don't know how he became a guide dog as he was known to regularly leave his blind person on Wimbledon common when he was let off duty and make his own way home. Luckily the blind guy took his stick and a few regulars in the park knew to stop the dog or help the guy if they could!
