Someone told me last night, that they took their wedding ring off when pregnant because her hands swelled up and she knew someone else who had to have it cut off her finger!!!!!!
Ive never heard anything like this..... is she having me on??
I have had to take mine off as it was getting too tight. This wasn't until 37 weeks though.
I took mine off as it became too uncomfortable to wear and I was worried about it getting stuck on my finger! Even after the birth of my 1st it took a while to get it back on again.
Funnily enough, the first time my fingers have swollen was this morning - I'm 34 weeks pregnant. I had a bath this morning and struggled to take my rings off, my fingers are usually quite thin but someone told me they swell due to fluid retention.
Isaac James born 21.04.10 weighing 5lb 1 oz
Born at 38 +3 weeks
With N I had to remove my rings at about 25 weeks (and didn't get them back on for at least 4 months after she was born), didn't need to at all with M.
Naomi ~ July 07 (10 days late 5lb 2oz)
Melissa ~ July 09 (1 day late 7lb 1oz)
I managed to get through both my pregancies without any swelling so there is hope, don't worry.
Did have to take them off for the c-sections though :-( but I don't think that counts!
I took mine off at 20-something weeks, but got them back on a couple of weeks after she was born.

I took mine off probably around 30 weeks as they were getting slightly tight and I had a slightly weird fear of getting them stuck. Went back on again pretty much as soon as I'd had Danny though.
My finger swelling was nothing compared to my massive elephant feet and ankles though (sorry!)

I had to have mine cut off when pregnant with A. I think I was about 30 weeks when it eventually got so tight it was painful. I tried evenything to get it off but eventualy had to go to the jewellers and have it snipped off.
no haven't needed to take mine off apart from when i had my section.
This time my engagement ring is holding it on as it's too big.
I had to take mine off quite early on as my fingers swelled up. I bought a cheap Argos ring as a replacement though as I didn't like not having a wedding band on when pregnant! I don't remember having to take it off prior to my section though.

I took mine off at 25ish weeks as they were getting tight and i didn't want to risk not being able to get them off - i still can't get them back on 10 weeks after having A.
