I made my little boy wear them under trousers and tops until about a year to keep him warm and to stop him pulling his 'socks' off. But on their own? I can't remember.

  KB3 Joined on 13-May-2008 Posts 16,332	Contact About 2 weeks. To me babygrows, especially for boys, look like night clothes not day clothes. Just because he was in outfits he still looks like a baby.

  Irgalite Joined on 08-Aug-2007 United Kingdom Posts 5,923	Contact Thanks ladies.  I think I started putting A in dresses at 4-5 weeks but I think for boys babygrows just look so much more comfortable.  No wastebands or hard jeans!

  Contact I probably left Samson in them a bit later than normal as well but I love them! They get to wear normal clothes for the rest of their lives and they're only tiny for such a short time. Samson was probably about 16 weeks when I stopped taking him out in them and just used them for night clothes. I think at around 3 months I started putting her in 'outfits'. It was all a novelty but babygrows are much easier, and they look so lovely in them. As long as possible I say!   Contact Noah is nearly 18 weeks old and he still wears them day and night, and I have no intention of putting him in proper outfits on a regular basis anytime soon. If we are going out somewhere for an occasion, then I put him in an outfit, but otherwise it's babygros. I think he has all his life for clothes, and I also think they are much more comfy than trousers with a wasitband across his back whilst he is lying down a lot. I think when he can sit up more then I will start putting him in clothes in the daytime, so probably not til he has passed 6 months old. I'd wear a babygro if I could, they look so comfy.
