  Contact Morning Ladies! Well i have my scan today at 1.45 and i cant wait to see him again! are they able to estimate a current weight at this time?? I dreamt last night that i had something im my eye and i was rubbing it and it turns out i was actually doing it my eye is all red this morning and i still have something in it lol!   Contact morning just sneaking on as i really should be having a shower, getting ready for work etc but i really can't be bothered.  Eleanor is being a bit better this morning which is a good start. I'm going to work for a day and a half and then that's it until April 2011.  THat gives me 13 months effectively to find a new job as I've promised Mr S i won't go back to my current one for very long if at all.  It all feels very final but at the same time I'm glad that I'm well enough to go in and actually tidy my desk etc as i never got the chance last time. I'm at the midwife as well at 9.45 having to go to a regional community clinic as i can't get appointments at my GP at all and my consultant is very insistent that I'm seen by someone weekly from here on in so that means seeing him once a fortnight and my CMW on the other weeks.  Still not many appointments to go as there's less than 7 weeks to go now. sparkling 32+5   Hannah - hope the scan goes well.  I don't know how many weeks you are but usually they will estimate the weight they have been doing for me since 23 weeks.  They measure the head circumfrence, the body circumfrence and the thigh bone.  They also do a fluid measurement in 4 quadrants and they'll probably look at the placenta.  I've found as the scans go on you see less of the exciting bits of baby because not much of them fits on the screen any more and the pictures are rubbish!  i'll try and get on for everyone else later but might be tricky with the work thing.  Baby out to those that need them and baby in to everyone else.  Have a great day everyone!

  Contact Hiya   Hannah: Good luck for the scan, they should be able to estimate the weight, however I dont think it is always that accurate   Sparkling: Glad you can make it to work, I remember the feeling when I cleared my desk and I too promised myself I wouldnt go back, I retrained as a childminder which is great for now... I hope in the next 13 months you will find somethin yo will enjoy doing   AFM: William is so so so much better, so I am :) had a child free afternoon yesterday which was well needed ! I saw MW yesterday and they are opning a new unit which due to my postcode I have to go now, but they only o[pen on a friday and I will be 40 weeks in 2 weeks but it is good friday so it will be shut, I have to have a check up at 39+2  and then nothing until 41 weeks, which I am not really happy about and would have liked a sweep at 40 weeks if baby was still here   Moz 38+1

  Contact Morning everyone! Hannah, good luck for your scan. I haven't been told any weights but if you ask they might! Sparkling - I'm not surpised you can't be botered tog et ready for work, with so little time left you must have kind of switched off from it already? Hope your mw appt goes well. Only 7 weeks to go - that must feel pretty good! Moz - that's a bit rubbish having a 2 week gap between appts at that stage - hopefully won't be an issue though as you'll ahve had it by then?! Afm - We went out for a meal with H's friends and came back at 10.45pm (late for me!) to find A awake which is really unusual. She wouldn#t go to sleep till 12 and then I kept waking up with crampiness. I've had this off and on for maybe 2 weeks, so hopefully won#t be too much longer before soemthing happens!   Contact Hello all Congrats to Widdle and Lea8 on the arrival of their little ones, not looked for an update yet of pip and lish but hope yoy are both well Morning Hannah, hope all goes well at your scan today.  Yes they will estimate the weight of your little boy today, although I am not convinced how accurate they are as I have been having growth scans since 19 weeks and they vary from hospital to hospital.  It also depends on the position of baby as at the minute my babys belly is always facing away I think so they have to do a rough measurement.  I think the overall weight is based on the stomach, femur length and the head circumference!  My little one's belly is measuring 3 weeks ahead so I am having a porker apparently!!!!  Anyway am sure you will love seeing him today and who knows yours could be really accurate.  Let us know how you get on. Sparkling - Wow how exciting 13 months of no work that sounds like bliss!   Today is my 4th day off from work and am enjoying my leave!  Hope your appointment at the midwife goes really well. Moz - You sound like a different person today its amazing what sleep does to us!  Glad to hear William is better too.  Can you not phone your midwife and ask her to come to yours for a sweep?  Don't know whether thats a possibility as I have never had one done or arrange to go into a clinic nearby and meet her there?  At least if you try and arrange one you may invoke the law of sod and proboably won't need one! Me - I have briefly been reading up on you all this week, and apologies I have not had the chance to post but since the date of the section has been booked its been all systems go!  I have got 1 pile of ironing left to do and we have started on the DIY!  Today I am going for a scan, then appointment with the consultant and then monitoring!  So half my day gone although its for good reason!  Then my mum is helping me blitz our house as I have a baby shower on Saturday and all day tomorrow (Fri) I am having a bump to be spa day with my mum and sis.  Really excited about the next few days as I will catch up with my mates that live far away that I have not seen since I was 12 weeks pregnant!  Anyhow on that note hope you all have a fab weekend! Sparkling, hope the days at work are not too bad..keep repeating to your self "Only 2 days to go..2 days to go" and that should cheer you up no end! Hope your appointment goes well. Moz, I am so glad William is finally getting better! It sounds complicated with the new opening hours, could you request to be seen at the hospital instead for your 40 week appointment?   Contact I feel I've got so much to catch up on! Hannah - have a lovely scan today, they will most likely do an estimate of weight, I've had that every scan since the anomaly one. Stop rubbing that eye!!! Sparkling - bet that ML cant come quick enough for you! Not a bad thing to be having people keeping an eye on you, better to feel as though you're getting enough support. Hope it goes ok at the mws. moz - boo about appointments, hopefully you wont need to see them at 40 weeks anyway as baby will already be here. TG - It's so frustrating when the cranps go on and dont seem to turn into anything, hope it's all good prep for a smooth labour. Mrs Sc - good luck with your scan today and your appointments. Sounds like you have a busy but lovely couple of days, you deserve it. AFM - well I slept like a baby (excuse the pun) so I must have needed it after being on the ward. It was also extremely lovely to have my own bath back and spend as much time as I wanted in there. My back was very painful last night and I felt as though I couldnt sit because there was too much pressure in my pelvis so went back on paracetamol and was thinking I might have been back there sooner than I thought. Feel ok this morning other than she feels as though she's trying to wriggle her way out of me. Hold on a little longer Pipetta!!! Hold on in there a while longer pipetta, lol! AFM - 2 weeks today will be my last day at work and I can't wait! Just had some people pee me off  this week in work. They can't take responsibility for their own jobs and it just hacks me off, I'm not going to be here in 2 weeks for them to say 'Go ask M, she'll sort it out', grrr!  My replacement isn't in post yet either and I keep getting pressure off my manager about a one to one handover taking place. Well my last day is 1st April and if the lady can't get in theren for a handover, I'm afraid they'll have to make do with the pretty comprehensive written handover I've done instead - I think they're really worried because I get the majority of calls from staff at work which they're going to have to pick up until my replacement is in - sigh...... Train journeys are becoming uncomfortable, luckily I'm getting a seat most of the time but baby likes to wriggle, jab and kick me as soon as I get on the train for some reason so I'm getting strange looks when I'm patting and poking my belly or going ouch! So I'm a grump but baby is great at the moment! I just really feel like I need a rest now, not much longer to wait but I have so much to do before I go!   Sparkling Joined on 30-Jun-2004 United Kingdom Posts 23,195	Contact back from the midwife BP is up a bit but on a par with booking in.  Trace of protein in urine found. seeing the consultant again a week tomorrow and then need to get a midwife appointment for the following week also the postman has just been with my new shiny phone and I'll be able to hitch from it whilst in hospital!  I'm a little over excited.

Well our pram got delivered yesterday and I love it, just needs a little person to fit into it now. Had an awful nights sleep so am going back to bed in a minute as H is up his allotment so I have a few hours peace. Im getting so many tight pains in my tummy but my tummy isnt tightening to the touch, having period pains and back ache so I keep thinking 'is this it?' but I dont want to keep building my hopes up, every time I go to the tolite im hoping to see a show but theres nothing. I have been having period pains and back ache for a while now but the tummy pains are new, just have to wait and see if anything happens or calms down, AGAIN.
