  • *** Tuesday 2nd trimester ***

Morning all, hope you managed a better night's sleep than we did. J was awake from about 12.30am until 3.30am, mostly howling, and has done little else since waking this morning, so another day off work for me. Have nurofened him, and think I will try some Calpol in two hours if no improvement. Might ring the GP too when they open, he's complained of a sore ear and this is totally out of character for him. Just fed up at another day off, have had to have a few lately and don't think my boss will be too happy.

Other than that, all good here, baby very active and will try to get a bump shot later if J goes back to sleep.

Love to all and good luck to Madonna in big girls' club today!

Bless- sounds awful- definitely worth getting him checked out.

I'm still stuck with this damn cold and deafness which is not fun- could go  back to bed.

    Off to work.

Baby doing well think i may be having Braxton hicks as i get funny quick feelings low down which are different.

Had a painful stomach over the weekend that bought me to tears (as if shards of glass were being stabbed through my stomach) and it has really worried me about labour- how am i going to cope if that was just a dodgy tummy?

docshell, sorry you are still feeling poorly, hope things improve soon. Glad all is well with baby though.

Sod's law, J now seems to be perking up, he's stopped howling and is playing. Have made a doctor's appointment anyway, would rather get it checked as I know a couple of people who've had really nasty and persistent ear infections. Suppose I have to feed him now - one of the luxuries of a nursery day is I only have to give him tea!

Now feeling thoroughly fed up and hope I'm not being conned by a 2 year old...

    Morning Ladies,

Margot, sorry to hear you had such a rubbish night. Hope J feels better soon x

Docshell, that sounds scary <hug>. Hope your cold goes away soon x

AFM, have a very bad back today, think I overdid it yesterday. Spent all day sorting old clothes for charity, going through kitchen cupboards and sorting out all the junk in the spare room in preparation for moving in a few weeks. Didn't do any lifting just lots of bending and stretching so think I will have to take it easy at work today.

Baby is still very active, I have him wriggling most of the day which I really enjoy, and seem to be getting more and more big kicks - future footballer I think!

Mr L bought me a lovely Mothers Day card and chocolates and some daffodils from Peanut - I had a little cry when he gave them to me!

    Love to all, Mrs L & Peanut 25+4 x

MArgot - pleased to hear J is perking up, but def best to get him checked out anyway. Hope he's over the worst of it. I hate it when J is poorly, it's exhausting for us mums isn't it!

Docshell - Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Hope you feel better soon.

MrsLord - sorry to hear you have a bad back. Try to take it easy today!

AFM - All is well with the baby, I actually saw my tummy move last night which was fab. Not noticed that before. I'm really struggling to sleep on my sides at ngiht though & keep ending up on my back which is much comfier, but not good the bigger I get. I just keep getting horrible crampy pains in my hips/thighs that wake me up when I sleep on my side. Other than that, a lovely weekend, mostly spent in the garden wrapped up warm & enjoying the sun!

    Morning ladies

Margot, hope J improves soon. I don't know what it is that makes children suddenly better around about the time nursery/school should be starting. Both of mine do that too!

DocShell, sorry to hear you feel poorly too. Was the painful tummy a bug? If not it sounds like your ligaments could be stretching, I get that. Ouch! Hope you're feeling better soon too.

Madonna, hope you enjoy the big girls club!

AFM, meh. Is it too early to start maternity leave already? Getting bored with the 12 mile diversion I have to do every day because flipping gas main repairs have closed 500yds of road to the motorway. It's a PITA - I was 2 minutes late in this morning, 2 minutes and I get the evil eye. I'll leave 20 mins late tonight and there will be no such disapproval. Drives me bonkers.

    Hope everyone else is ok.

Madonna - we'll miss you!!! Enjoy 3rd trimester. xx

Sshh - Sounds like my boss if I am late! However, as I am usually here at 8am & rarely late, you would think she would cut me some slack the day I walked in at 9:05am!!! (Still before the rest of the team!)

Morning Margot - don't worry about your boss - nothing you can do about it and they'll have to lump it! Considering you are pregnant and have a little one, you have probably had very few days off compared to some! Really hope J feels better soon.

Docs - Ooooh what to BH feel like? I didn't realise you can get them so early on Eek I've had a bad stomach on and off through this pregnancy too and sometimes it's been so painful I've thought exactly the same thing. You know what I started to do? Use it as practise to start the breathing exersizes Laugh and it actually worked. Tried to calm myself and breathe through the pain - try it next time. i think you'll probably feel better after chatting to a midwife about it also.

Morning MrsL - glad baby is a happy kicker! And bless your H for the Mothers Day stuff. I hinted to OH but still nothing.... Laugh

Splosh - I love seeing my tummy move, it's so weird isn't it? I also struggled with sleeping on my side but I'm getting more used to it now. I do this: On back but tilted so half on side. And on front with leg bent and up so I'm propped and not flat on my tum. I just don't find sleeping with pillows in my bed comfy so I'm making do for now.

Sshh - 12 mile diversion - eurch! Ignore work, it can't be helped. How's baby?

    See you soon Madge!

AFM I'm feeling a bit less emotional but I have by 'down' moments. Still wish OH would get a bit more excited/involved so I think I'll have a chat with him about it at the weekend.

On the baby front, he's just fine. Kicking and turning, sometimes it's like a washing machine in there Laugh

Morning Ladies - I spent ages writing a post with personals and it vanished so now I don't have time to start them again!  Any to summarise - good night sleep vibes to any who need them and less painful backs/hips/stomach vibes to all as well!

Also Sshh - 2 whole minutes late what were you thinking??!  Do they not make any allowances for traffic problems?

AFM - 19+3 today, still not sure whether it is baby movements or just wind. I really wish I had paid more attention to the workings of my stomach before pregnancy so that I could tell what is normal and what is baby!

    Morning Ladies and bumpy bumps!

Margot - Sorry to hear of a poorly LO, hope he feels better soon, and I'm sure your boss will understand.

Docshell - That sounds awful! Any idea what the pains were in your tummy? (feeling slightly worried about pain icon) Hope you are better now

Mrs Lord - Take it easy today, I pulled something when I was cleaning the bathroom last week, and only now i'm feeling better! Mr L sounds lovely!

Splosh - I love sleeping on my back too and no pains for me yet, but trying to teach myself to sleep on my side (apparently its got to be the right hand side) OH bought me a dream geniie cushion thing, its great! It feels a bit weird to begin with, but its comfy. It also doubles up as a nursing pillow for later!

Shhh - thats rubbish isnt it. No one bats an eyelid when you work late, we even got told if we work more than 15 mins over, we get paid for the hour...i'm yet to see it!

Nixxy - Glad you're feeling a little better, I would definitely speak to your OH, you dont want to feel like you are doing all the work! I keep trying to show OH when she kicks and stuff and feel awful when I think he's not interested.

Daisy - (love the name) ITS MOVEMENTS!! Enjoy them as soon they will be waking you up!!

AFM - Big kicks now, if i'm reading, my book will bounce on my tummy! And I can definitely feel when theres stretches going on! This will be my last personal post for a while (sorry) as we are travelling up to Manc tonight Bounce I've done all my packing and just gonna tidy the flat so its nice for us getting home next week sometime. I'm so excited I cant tell you! Roll on 5 pm for OH to finish work then we can be excited together Smile

    Love to you all xxx

    Morning all Smile

Busy morning already today as been to the midwife for a BP check and listen to the heartbeat. All is looking good and midwife is predicting it'll be a boy as the heart sounds like a steam train instead of a galloping horse?! I am also convinced it'll be a boy although I have no basis for this what-so-ever, I just have a 'feeling' Laugh H came along too as loves hearing the heartbeat, bless him he's not missed an appointment yet Fluffy. Also had the roof down on my car for the first time this year today, must make the most of it as the car will have to be sold in May/June!!

Margot - I hope you got a Drs appointment and got things sorted for J, naughty if he's conning you!
Docshell - Hope your cold sorts itself out soon
MrsL - Take it easy today, it's so easy to overdo it x
Splosh - Fab that you saw your tummy move! I can't wait for that.
Sshh - When does the road reopen? That's a real pain!
Madonna - Wave and Laugh We'll see you soon!!
Nixxy - Definitley mention it to H, maybe he just isn't sure how he can get more involved? xx
Daisybrown - it probably is baby doing somersaults, mine certainly was this time last week and still is. Midwife told me she's surprised I'm not feeling kicks yet as our baby was really kicking today when she was trying to find the heartbeat!
Max - You must be soooo excited! I can't wait to see pics! Smile

Love to all laters and lurkers Hug

Have a fab day in the sunshine all!
