Hello girls,
Just thought you lovely ladies that helped me last week would like an update! I took your advice following my post about being in pre-term labour, dragged my head out of the sand and called the midwife. I've just managed to escape from hospital today having had my contractions calmed down and steroids to mature baby's lungs. Unfortunately our closest big hospital (JR in Oxford) had no special care beds so we were transferred 55 miles from home to Milton Keynes which was a bit of a pain. I can't praise the staff at both hospitals enough though - they were all fantastic.
I discharged myself this morning as I desperately need some sleep which is impossible on a busy maternity ward but obviously will hightail it back to hospital if anything else happesn. Things have been stable for over 24 hours now though. Hopefully if I take things easy he'll stay put for another few days/weeks so he won't need special care when he does arrive. So if you could send me your "stay in baby for preferably 4 weeks but definitely at least 2 weeks" I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks for your supprt ladies, you were amazing when I was really freaking out!
