Hannah, you beat me to it there! That nursery is gorgeous!! Cherish the pics, it will never look the same again once baby has arrived, I never seemed to be able to maintain the level of perfectness once I was actually using the room, as much as I wanted to Laugh Glad you're feeling better, take it easy today if you're still feeling a little bit dodge though.

An early start from me, been up since 5am when H went back up the road to work, that's him off for the week now. My mum is bringing M back later on today, but is staying for the week if I need her to (I think I will, I am 2 days overdue and being on my own is less than ideal!). So just going to try and spend loads of time with M today as I've not seen her since Friday, so as odd as it sounds, I'd like baby to stay in today so we can have some time together before her world gets turned upside down.

Was having more contractions again last night, about 4 hrs worth, but as per the usual routine now, they are all but gone since I've been to sleep. Had a rubbish night's sleep though, and am generally feeling pretty rubbish. Quite crampy and had another more bloody show so something is happening, but not at the rapido rate I was told it would. Oh well, I'm going to enjoy the relative peace and quiet whilst it lasts as once the baby is here, life as I know it will be A LOT more complicated!

Baby out vibes to all those that need them. Hi to all laters and lurkers. Congrats again to Pebbles Love

    Morning!

Hannah - the nursery and the bump look gorgeous! Sorry you caught the bug - hope you;'re fully recovered soon.

*aims* - hope baby stays tucked in today for a lovely day with M, and then pops out easily tonight ! That's my wish for you anyway! But I do hope you have a lovely day- take care.

It's my first day of mat leave, so I'm debating what to do. E is still going to normal childcare 4 days a week, and my parents and ILs are being lovely and offering to bring her back/pick her up so I don't have to do too much driving, which is just so kind! So today I should be finishing some work for school then I can take it in tomorrow when I'm passing, and I also have a loooong list of jobs that need doing. Maybe packing the hospital bag should be a priority!! For now, I'm just sitting on the sofa with rubbish daytime telly on!! Hope you all have a lovely day xxx

    Good morning ladies,

Hannah, your nursery looks lovely - I think I  might take some photos of mine later while it's tidy!  Lovely bump too!

Aims, hope you have a lovely day with your LO so I'll hold off on the baby out for now and send them in abundance this evening!

AFM, my midwife (SIL) is popping in this morning for a quick antenatal and I hope baby has stayed head down after my ecv last week.  If not, I'll be getting my bags ready to meet this LO on Weds!

Baby out vibes for those who want them and I hope everyone has a lovely monday,

    Good Morning everybody!

Hannah, lovely nursery and neat bump! Try to use your half day to relax and have a bit of a lie down and you should hopefully feel better soon.

Aims, I hope you feel better as the days goes on and have a lovely time with your wee girl. Baby Out vibes for later this evening!

Incognito, hurrah for being on materrnity leave! Take it easy and do nothing the first few days, you have earned it! Just enjoy being off and you might feel more motivated to start on the list later in the week.

Vicky, hope the appointment goes well, I am sending lots of Baby In Right Position vibes your way!

Me, I had a nice but very busy and tiring weekend. Had fun at my BIL's birthday party, everybody kept commenting on how big my stomach is though and that the baby will be huge! Tongue Tied I ate 2 pieces of cake..just to prove that maybe it is mainly lard on my tummy!?  Laugh

Went past Babys R Us on the way home and bought some more stuff off our list..think we are 70% done now! The PIL have very kindly offered to buy us the cot bed and we have just ordered the rest of the nursery furniture.

I have my midwife appointment tomorrow (hope everything is still OK with my blood pressure and that the fat feet are just water retention), so have tomorrow and Wednesday(St Patricks Day is bank holiday here in NI) off, so I have a nice short week!

Have a good day everybody and Baby Out Vibes to all who wants them!

Pebbles and Digi  - Huge congratulations to the both of you on the birth of your little ones

Hannah – Lovely nursery pics and nice bump shot too.  We are also going with the I love my bear theme, however we have lots of bits still to do!  Border, pictures, new light fitting etc!  Will post some pics hopefully before my baby shower on Saturday!

Aims – BABY OUT VIBES FROM TUESDAY!  Hope you get to enjoy your day today with your little one.  Your mum sounds so lovely helping you out.  Boo to H working away all week.  Sorry the contractions are stop/start but it all does sound positive and am sure we will be hearing a BA from you soon.

Icognito – Snap I started annual leave today, wasn’t supposed to but am having little one early now so on Friday I finished as had loads of leave to use and have lots to do before baby arrives in a couple of weeks!  Am going to go to Aqua this morning then iron all pm!  Exciting not......

Mrs VLL – Glad to hear that the ECV worked for you and will keep everything crossed that when your SIL comes later that baby VLL has not turned since the ECV!

NO - Your week sounds lovely too, hope the MW appointment goes really well.  What theme are you going for from Babies R Us??

Me – I am feeling ok, still in complete denial that in 2 weeks we will have our baby arghhhhhhh!  Had a good night’s sleep last night and feel relieved that I am now on leave as I have so much to do!    Had 2 cards yesterday 1 from the bump via my hubby and then 1 from my mum about how I will make a special mummy, which was really nice!

I have planned every day this week to get stuff done so if you see me on here boot me off as we have our whole bedroom to decorate and a nursery, plus a whole house to clean, a mountain of washing and ironing and bags to pack for the impending arrival! Plus all those “wishful thinking jobs” such as sorting out our wedding and holiday pictures for the last 3 years and cooking lots of food to freeze!

Hello to anyone who comes on later

Hannah - lovely pics, I think we have the same moses basket. I cant believe how organised you are!

aims - glad to hear that you have people around you now and I hope that the contractions come to something very soon for you.

incog - woo hoo for ML starting although it sounds like you're still working tut tut. Yes, go pack that bag naughty lady!

Mrs VLL - will be good for you if baby has stayed in the same position and gives you more choice about the birth again (although weds sounds good too ;o))

NO - 2 pieces of cake still sounds reserved compared to what I managed to shovel in yesterday lol. A short week sounds good, and so does the shopping.

AFM - not much to report, H's last week at work this week so that's the big countdown now. Have my bloods on Friday so feel like things get started then! H is convinced I wont make another week as every night I get so restless and cant keep still and at the same time I cant keep my eyes open even though in comparison my sleep hasnt been so bad. He thinks it all prep. Hmmm. I dont think she's budging now, even though the tightenings I have I can actually feel in my cervix now - which is really weird! Dog is booked for kennels next week and then we're all set. I'm so excited!!!

    Hi Pip

Glad to hear you are excited and yeah for it being H's last week at work.  Thanks for the advice I will take it easy I promise!!!

Maybe in the second week though!!!!  Have you had your pre-op assessment yet?  I was wandering how long they will keep u in hospital for?

    Take care

  • Re: Monday 3rd Tri

I dont know if I have one? I have to go in on Friday for bloods and get my tablets to take, dont know if they do anything else then. I had the swab for MRSA at my last consultant appointment and got given all the forms and leaflets to read. I just know I have 2 tablets to take on Monday night and 2 on Tuesday morning and that then they send someone to chat with me about everything the morning I am there.

    Morning all!

Hannah - your nursery is looking great!  Sorry to hear you've been poorly, the stretchy pain might be from being sick?  Muscles definitely stretch and pull much more easily when you're pregnant.

aims - sounds very positive that things are beginning to happen.  How easily can your husband get back from work if you do go into labour?  Hope your mum can stay, I'm sure it will be very comforting for you if she can.

incognito - enjoy your maternity leave, I'm hoping to achieve a lot on mine but planning to do it veeeeeery slowly!  Hospital bag definitely needs to be number one priority though for both of us.

MrsVickyLouLou - lots of head down vibes for you.  Either way though, not long to go!

NightOwl - everyone's got a comment haven't they?! I've been told I'm huge and tiny by different people.  Having seen bumps on here I think I'm probably on the smaller side but certainly not tiny!  Take no notice and eat all the cake you want!

MrsSC - only 2 weeks to go, how exciting!  Get that housework done but don't work too hard, you need to take the chance to have some last bits of rest!

**Pip** - only 1 week to go!!!!! Try to have a nice relaxing week if you've now got everything sorted.

AFM - sorry I haven't been around that much lately but I'm now on maternity leave so hopefully I'll be here a bit more (in between housework of course!).  We're having a bit of a nightmare with sorting out the nursery, every time we do one job another one crops up but we're hoping that it'll be finished next week.  I've got a midwife appointment this afternoon so fingers crossed everything is still on track.  Baby was 1/5 engaged at the one 2 weeks ago so hopefully he's still heading towards the exit and hasn't popped back out again!

36+4 (eek, how did that happen?!)

  • Re: Monday 3rd Tri

Incognito - Woop for 1st day for ML. Leave the jobs till tomorrow, enjoy the relaxation today.

Vicky - Lots of baby head down vibes, along with baby out one's too I imagine, the sooner you go into labour, the less time the little tinker has to start flipping about in there.

NO - Sounds like you're getting organised. It's lovely how everyone feels the need to comment on your bump, thankfully this time I'm carrying quite compactly, but when I was pregnant with M I was massive and everyone felt compelled to tell me so, as if I didn't already know!

SC - That's an impressive to do, but it's good to keep busy, just make sure you make time for rest too.

Pip - Can't believe that next week it THE week for you. I'm so excited for you, even though you may actually queue jump me if I go as far over as I did with no.1. It's funny out H's all of a sudden become master labour predictors, my H says categorically that today is the day everyday, it's only taken him a week to realise he doesn't have special powers at all.

SC_99 - Fingers crossed the nursery gets finished, ours was like that for quite some time, just seemed to be creating more jobs, in the end I'd just gave in and gutted the whole house one weekend, the tip thought we were moving in there was that much stuff we got rid of.

As for my H getting back, it's not a problem him leaving work, it'll be the 2hr mad dash down here to get here in time, and with the antics I've had over the past few days I'm wary of being in labour but not wanting to get him down in case it's false and then he misses everything. Gah!!

Sorry ladies just a flying visit before I got for my growth scan Bounce im so excited, just wish H could have got the time off work to come along aswell.

Hannah that is a lovely nursery, I love the name on the wall, where did you get the letters from, im looking for something similar for when our little one makes an appearance, I love th ebig bunny, we have the I love my bear set, its so adorable.

Pip I cant believe you have a week or so to go how exciting, im also having BH and loads of twinges, you cant help but think 'is this it?' then it all stops and all that excitment disappears and its just disappointment. Not long now though Bounce

Hannah - your nursery looks so lovely.  We had I love my bear for Izzy's nursery.  Recently we got the bunny and bear curtain holdbacks out and she has claimed them as her toys.  She loves sticking their hands together so they can cuddle.

aims - Baby out for tomorrow vibes.  I hope you are able to have a lovely day with M doing lots of nice things before the chaos ensues.

incognito - Have a lovely first day of m/l.  Packing your hospital bag should probably be top priority but watching tv and eating cake is more enjoyable.

Mrsvll - Fingers crossed that your baby has stayed head down and if not good luck for Wednesday.

NO - Everyone has an opinion on how big you are don't they?  MIL keeps saying I'm massive compared with Izzy but I'm not convinced, I think she has selective memory.  Have a lovely short week.  It's nice your PIL's are going to pay for the cotbed.

Mrs Sc - I hope you aren't decorating your bedroom and nursery by yourself or you are going to be knackard!

Pip - Not long to go now my dear.  Are you sure they are just tightenings and nothing more?  I didn't get any BH last time but I think I am this time.  My bump goes really hard but I can't feel them at all.

spacecadet - Good luck at your mw appointment.  Enjoy your m/l.  I hope you get all the jobs finished so you can put your feet up.

zoe - Good luck at your growth scan x

AFM - Had a nice mother's day yesterday except having to see the mw for a swab (TMI).  Fingers crossed its thrush, they are going to test for GSB as well and if it's positive my home birth is out the window and possibly my water birth as well.  I should find out Wednesday/Thursday.
