  Did you celebrate......

  Munchkin28 Joined on 13-Jun-2009 Posts 3,391	Contact Mothers Day when you were pregnant??   I think I should be showered with love and treats tomorrow in recognition that I am carrying our "first born", hubby thinks next year should be my first Mother's Day!   Just wondering what the concensus is on the street!!! xxxxxx Mummy to Connagh Andrew    07/07/2010

  smarties Joined on 01-Jul-2004 United Kingdom Posts 8,534	Contact No I didn't, especially as it was very early in the pregnancy anyway, but I found it odd to celebrate when the person whose mother I would eventually be was totally unknown to me. I won't be celebrating tomorrow either - or any year until N can make something himself. I find the idea of H getting me something odd as I'm not his mum after all. Lots of my friends did / do though.

H and I discussed it but it felt a bit weird as i'm not actually physically a mum because our baby isn't here yet iyswim? However we will be waiting for next year to celebrate (unless the baby makes an appearance in the next few hours - very unlikely!!)

Ditto, got bfp just after mothers day last year but i wouldn't have done anything if i had been pregnant.
