I doubt I will this time, save it for next year.

  • Re: Did you celebrate......

No I didn't, especially as it was very early in the pregnancy anyway, but I found it odd to celebrate when the person whose mother I would eventually be was totally unknown to me.

I won't be celebrating tomorrow either - or any year until N can make something himself. I find the idea of H getting me something odd as I'm not his mum after all.

Lots of my friends did / do though.

Should have said, you should be showered with love and goodies regardless of being a mummy!

No we won't be celebrating tomorrow. H and I discussed it but it felt a bit weird as i'm not actually physically a mum because our baby isn't here yet iyswim? Gah i didn't explain that very well Laugh

I'm looking forward to being pampered next year though!

I'm pretty sure that we didn't celebrate it until Aliya was actually born.

I have already had a pressie this year - am currently sitting here in a barbie pink "slanket" which Aliya picked for me.... Love

I did see a card in the shop from your bump on mothers day (as well as from your cat/dog) so I am sure there is a market somewhere. However we will be waiting for next year to celebrate (unless the baby makes an appearance in the next few hours - very unlikely!!)

  • Re: Did you celebrate......

No I didn't. Like Smarties, I was fairly early in my pregnancy, so it seemed a bit odd

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, although Isla still refuses to take EBM from a bottle or cup, so I doubt I'll get a lie in Sad

  • Re: Did you celebrate......

No i didn't but I'd only found out a qweek before hand.

  • Re: Did you celebrate......

I wasn't pregnant over a Mother's Day but I wouldn't have celebrated.  I wouldn't have wanted to detract from my actual first mother's day.

Apologies for lack of capital letters - Zoe has stolen my shift key Huh?

Ditto, got bfp just after mothers day last year but i wouldn't have done anything if i had been pregnant.

No, even although I was 39 weeks pregnant at the time so about as close to being a mum as it was possible to get!
