Guess who?! 4 o fecking clock again... how dull.

Anyway okay here, GTT was vile tasting but not too bad (had it before umpteen times) so am now waiting on results. I think Sausage was in a sugar coma afterwards as he's been very quiet until this morning, so I'll keep an eye on his movements. Hoping to go the Bluewater meet today, other than that no big plans!

Hope all is well with you all, glad Nich's second scan went well, and welcome again to Mossy!

Madonna, boo for lack of sleep again! Hope you can have a restful day to catch up. Hope GTT results are good, can't believe you are off to big girls' club so soon!

Welcome Mossy, lovely to see you here!

AFM, off to work (just for a change!) but kids have rugby this morning, so hoping I get to look at some lovely rugby players for two hours - would be a nice way to spend a morning, wouldn't it?! Baby still wriggly, toddler still shouty and new changing bag definitely lovely!

    Back later,

    Margot

    Morning everyone

Madonna, glad you got over the GTT. Sounds vile! Why did you get that done? I keep reading about it but having never had one wondered why they do it.

Margot - enjoy watching the rugby players Laugh What changing bag did you get? I need a rucksack one (or handbag) just now but they dont seem to be in fashio Laugh

As for me 14+2, felt all of yesterday feeling sick. I am hoping today isnt the same. Finished work for the week, and got next week off as its my birthday. They will no doubt make a communication a work with regards to the latest state of play re: redundancies on Monday just to ruin my birthday Laugh

Off to lunch/softplay with E today, so hopefully it will burn up some energy. Bought some new clothes last night, non-maternity tops, long but baggy so I can use them afterwards, a maternity cardi from M&S that looked miles nicer on the website, and a maternity skirt for summer. Still on the lookout for new tops, and maybe a maxi dress, but determined they will be things i can use next year too. Laugh

    Morning ladies and bumps!

Madonna- hope the results come back ok, I can believe you will be leaving is soon!!

Margot - what bag do you have? I've been bought a Cath Kidston one as a thank you gift, can't wait to use it!!

Smiley -hope today is better for you, and yay for next week off, i'm off next week too...something to do with a wedding :-p

AFM just 2 afternoons left in work then off for 2 weeks!!!! I'm sleeping well (sorry) and feeling good, had a bit of bleeding yesterday but it's gone now-am I right just to ignore it and not stress out?

I suppose I should get up now then...

love to all laters and lurkers xxxx

  • Re: *** Thursday 2nd Trimester ***

    Morning all,

Hope you get some rest later Madonna. GTT sounds horrid, I have mine in 3 weeks and I'm not looking forward to it. I've asked my Mum to come with me as H can't have the day off, I tend to go a bit strange when I've not eaten regularly (even before pregnancy) and have woozy/dizzy spells so I don't want to go alone. Have fun at Bluewater!

Margot, enjoy the rugby players, sounds lovely! What bag did you get?

Smiley, Not sure about Madonna but I have to have the GTT because of my high BMI, it seems to be fairly standard if you fall into the overweight catergory, plus lots of other reasons. Hope you have a nice time at soft play. Are you sending the cardi back?

Max - I'd be calling the MW tbh, I don't think bleeding is something to ignore. Better to be safe than sorry, hey? Hope all is ok and you have a nice restful few days off x

AFM, seems I have a very wriggly one. He moves all day long now - I don't know when he sleeps! Started moving as soon as I woke up this morning so have disproved my H's theory that movements are connected to when I eat, I knew he was wrong! I sat in bed reading all evening yesterday watching my tummy move around, I find it so facinating.

We have a date for getting the keys for the new flat - 9th April, 4 weeks tomorrow! I better get on with the packing up. I find moving house very cathartic as I like to take the opportunity to have a huge clear out and throw out half of our belongings!

Hoping for an easier day at work today, yesterday was madness so hopefully today will be more relaxed. I'm so looking forward to my ML!

Love to all, Mrs L & Peanut 24+6

    Ooh Margot, rugby players...

Hi Smiley! GTTs are gien for various reasons - some trusts give them routinely to mums over a certain BMI, others give them to mums who have previously had gestational diabetes, and some give them when there is + sugar in the urine sample (I ticked the last two). I had GD with S but not with Joe so we shall see...

Max I would get any bleeding checked out with mw tbh, just in case it happens again - can you give them a call this morning and see what they say?

Got an extra hour's sleep, hoorah!

Max2607, I would phone your MW and let them know about the bleed. I had bleeding in my first pregnancy and at 23 weeks is when they admitted me becae of it, it wasnt a massive amount but they wanted to check there wasnt cross bloods (or something) and also scanned to see location of placenta, which was low.  I was then told to rest, and rescanned at 28 weeks and it had risen out the way and I got no more bleeding.

I think what I'm trying to say is phone and get it checked out.

    Thanks Madonna/Mrs Lord.

Mrs Lord, I think I may keep it, because I really will need something to wear.  There was a nice jacket in M&P sale but it had gone by the time I got round to trying to buy it.

  • Re: *** Thursday 2nd Trimester ***

Morning! Just popping on quickly as am at Warwick Services getting a coffee! Max please get the bleeding checked, its probably nothing but its best to speak to your midwife lovely. AFM more flutters and feeling particularly big bump wise this past 2 days, bring on Monday's scan! Will try and come back later for more personals, got to get to Birmingham now! Love to all, Hep and Boom Boom 19+5

Good grief it's busy here this morning!!! Morning all Wave

Madonna - Glad the GTT went well. Enjoy the bluewater meet. Are you off to the 3rd tri next week??? That's come round so fast!!!

Margot - Mmmmm rugby players - yum! Enjoy your morning Wink What change bag have you got? I'm now on the look out for one!

Smiley - I didn't know M&S did maternity clothes - will have a look! I hope you feel a little better today!

Max - woweee just 2 more days at work? Am sure the bleeding was nothing, but I think I would probably just give my MW a call to mention it.

Mrs Lord - Yay for wriggly baby. It's such a lovely feelign isn't it. Hope you have a relaxing day.

Hepburn - ooo scan day will be here befor eyou know it. Have a good day.

AFM - nothing much to report. I'm going away for Easter to stay at my brother's cottage in the country (middle of no where) whilst he is away. It's fab as it feels like I am going on holiday. Baby seems fine - using my bladder as a trampoline most days! All good though. Boss is away today - need to make sure I actually do some work instead of searching the internet for a change bag (that's my current mission!)

    have a great day all

    Morning all Wave

Madonna, 4am? That's rubbish. Hope you get some rest in today to make up for it.

Margot, enjoy the rugby - terrible way to spend a morning if you ask me Wink

Smiley, I am getting a bit carried away with my maternity clothes shopping. Got some stuff from DP and Debenhams last week, and now New Look have a sale on. I've been good though, I am getting things that I know I can wear after baby's born to cover a multitude of sins whilst I get my body back!

Max, call the MW lovely. It's probably nothing but best to get these things checked out. Yay to 2 more afternoons though!

MrsL, 4 weeks till the new flat? Brilliant. Hope work is kinder to you today.

Splosh, holiday at Easter sounds fab. Hope you have luck finding a changing bag today.

AFM all good. My broadband broke last night. Virgin promised me it'd be back on by midnight, got up extra early to do my unfinished WFH and it was still buggered. Tsk. Muffin is still wriggling away, telling me it's toast time me thinks!

Morning Madge - glad the GTT was ok, fingers crossed for results! Hope little one starts wiggling soon!

Margot - enjoy the rugby players! What changing bag did you get?

Smiley - Still battling sickness eh? Soon be gone - fingers crossed! Yay for new clothes! Pics?!

Max - WOOOO NOT LONG TIL THE WEDDDINNNNNNGGGGG! AAAGHHHHHH! I would check with the midwife about the bleeding. It will put your mind at ease if nothing else!

Hi MrsL - not long til the new place - enjoy the throwing out. I'm the same but OH loves to hang on to old junk, which drives me mad!

Morning Hepburn - yay for flutters! Bet you can't wait for the scan!

Splosh - sounds like a lovely getaway - jealous! I'm thinking of an escape with OH for a couple of days soon. Sane here with the bladder - one minute I dont need to go, the next I'm DESPERATE! Then I get there and nothing much to report! Laugh

Sshh(!) Nooooo naughty broadband!! We get ours a week Monday - cannot WAIT!

Hi Claire - hope you feel better soon. OH is ill at the mo... dont I know it! Laugh

As for me, bought some new mat clobber yesterday - some combats and a cardy. Wearing them today and feel great as it makes my bump stick out, but I desperately need a new bra! Mine are driving me mad. Think I'm in an F cup now, normally an E. Any recs for good supportive bras, anyone?
