1, DEFINATELY not a morning person, and get VERY cranky when I am tired. 12hours is an understatement, somedays I would happily sleep like a newborn baby!

    2. I have a Greek grandfather but shamefully cannot speak the language.

    3. I ADORE going to Florida, [whispers] and we hope to move there one day...[whispers]

    4. I HATE my jod, I HATE most of the people I work with and feel generally miserable about it but not brave enough to do anything about it. I need to work for my sanity and we need the money!

    5. I love chocolate, unfortunately far too much.

    6. I started dating my hubby just to have some fun after the break up of a long term relationship and then a short rebound relationship with someone else. HOWEVER He turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to me and 9yrs later I am still smitten with him.

    7. We are not having anymore children, just our girls and when people ask me if we don't want to try for a boy I always tell them the truth, if we were having another but I could choose the gender in a shop I would pick another pink one! (No offense to boys or those who have them but the thoguht of a boy scares me, I am too used to girls now lol)

    8. My mum has Fybromyalgia and ME and yet it amazes me that she will still look after the girls for me 2 afternoons a week whilst I work, and yet my MIL who is healthy gets "too tired" to bother even coming to see them.

    9. I LOVE my house, it used to belong to my nanny who died when I was 10yrs old and when we brought it 8yrs ago it was a huge emotional step for me, brought back alot of memories, but now I am able to find happiness in those memories.

    10. My girls watch far too much TV really (well Mollie really) but I don't mind, they do alot during the week and if they need to just have downtime when we are home then so be it. They are storming with their development and are well behaved (they have their moments) so I have absolutely no concerns that the TV is defecting them in anyway.

  • Re: (thinking milk) 10 things about me

    1. I am only happy when I have half a dozen or so projects on the go

    5. I like have a good old chat with friends

    6. I drink tea and coffee far too much

    7. I move counties every 2-3 years and love it

    8. I never think I'm doing well enough and could always do better, and try harder.

    9. I very stoic, and struggle to admit I can't cope. Ever.

    10. Shopping makes me irrationally happy, but I do not have the funds to maintain the irrational happiness which is shame really lol

    1. I'm a qualified accountant but currently unemployed after being made redundant when I was pregnant - the thought of having to get a new job before the money runs out scares me!

    2. If I could live anywhere in the world it would be Coronado, across the bay from San Diego.

    3. Though to be honest, I'd just like to own my own house, wherever it is. Sometimes feel like we're the only ones who don't and that we're never going to get on the housing ladder.

    6. I took up sewing when I first went on Maternity Leave and I'm looking forward to getting back into it when I get some more time to myself

    7. I don't know whether I'm a Northerner or a Southerner as I was born in the North to a Northern family, but have spent most of my life in the South

    8. One of the things I'd most like in the world right now is to be able to get into bed and go to sleep, knowing I don't have to get up till I want to.

    9. I still don't know how to talk to other people's babies and children

    10. I wish I was better at making and keeping friends, but I'm not very good at making small talk to get to know people.

  • Re: (thinking milk) 10 things about me

Oh I love reading threads like this and finding out more about people. Ok here are mine:

    1. I am obsessed with rats and would have a whole house full of them if we had room - real ones that is.

    2. I am a vegetarian and would love to be a vegan but don't have the willpower.

    3. I am addicted to coffee and my prize possession is our latte maker.

    4. I hate clothes shopping.

    5. When I was 19, I accidentally tried to pull my eyeball out. I thought I had fallen asleep with my contact lenses in, and in the morning couldn't get one of them out so was using my little sink plunger type thing. The lens kept coming part the way out then popping back in again. I went to A&E who informed me that the contact lens wasn't actually in and the 'lens' I was pulling out was actually part of my eye. Ouch!

    6. I'm always genuinely amazed when people want to be friends with me.

    7. I'm a primary school teacher but have realised quite how much I hate it and how it has never been the right career for me.

    8. Despite living in London most my life I'm actually a Northerner. I was born in Blackpool and my mum is from Staffordshire.

    9. I have a phobia of stick insects and needles.

    10. I love horror films - the scarier the better.

  • Re: (thinking milk) 10 things about me

    Great thread

    1. I love scrapbooking. I have a craft room and far far too much stash that I probably won’t ever use.

    2. It scares me how much money I have spent on scrapbooking supplies (stash)

    3. I want to learn how to decorate cupcakes beautifully as it’s something I think I could be good at. I love baking but the icing is what I think makes a cake.

    4. I don’t want anything to do with my father. We have a very strained relationship and I wish I had the guts to cull him but then I wouldn’t have any contact with my little brother.

    5. I work as a Bid Manager in utilities. I fell into doing it after I left Uni but I fell I should be doing something more worthwhile with my life (but I have no idea what).

    6. We are in a serious amount of debt. It’s not unmanageable but its significant. It makes me cross that H and I have run up so much debt on nothing in particular. There are a few big purchases here or there but I think if we had had a better control of our finances it could have been avoided.

    7. We live in a nice 4 bedroom house. My family think that we have lots of money because of this but all our money goes on paying the mortgage and paying off what we owe.

    8. My mum is always on at me to reduce my hours and I would love to but we really can’t afford for me to reduce my hours.

    9. I worry a lot that we made the wrong decision buying our house and saddling ourselves with a big mortgage. I can’t face moving to something smaller as it would be admitting we made a mistake and its costly to move, plus we have very little equity in our house.

    10. I like to be really busy and always have lots of projects on the go at home and at work. I’m struggling at the moment because I don’t have lots of things going on.
