  Money Poems

  Orchabelle Joined on 19-Jan-2010 Surrey Posts 36	Contact Money Poems, has anyone heard of this? You put a poem in your invitation to your guest requesting for money instead of gifts. Even if you provide a wedding list, there's always a stubborn relatives that still want to buy you that toaster!! Great idea if you already have cupboards full of crockery! www.orchabelle.co.uk

I like the honeymoon gift lists if you already have everything you need at home... But the poems..... no. If you would rather have money than presents, just tell people you want money or vouchers.  There are some really awful money poems out there!  If i every got one i would not give money, just an awful present!   Steelgoddess Joined on 05-Aug-2007 United Kingdom Posts 1,266	Contact I thought some of the poems were quite funny although in my invites I put "It is your presence, not your presents that is important to us, but should you wish to give a gift a contribution to our honeymoon would be most gratefully received."  This was in a friends invitation and I thought it was short, sweet and straight to the point... x
