belindacoles, 1 of February of 2010 at 14:40 Posted on Planning 0 19

Is anyone having yellow as their colour scheme or a daisy theme?

If so I'd love to see ideas/photos ?

Why not combine the 2 colours:

You can definatly combine the colours as they are opposite each other on the colour wheel, meaning they will definatly go together. I was going to have Purple and yellow for my wedding, until my company just rebranded our logo and its now Yellow and Purple!!! I'm not that into my job to have the same colours! LOL

Im not really very keen on how they look together, would rather have one or the other lol.

If we had purple it'd be a combo of "cadburys" purple, white and dark grey or for the yellow would be a combo of yellow, white and light/silver grey.

I do love the purple but feel its not much of a spring colour.

My colour scheme is yellow, we're having an easter wedding my favours are lemon mini tin pails filled with mini eggs, and the place cards are lemon butterflys that you place on the wine glasses. Need to keep my out for lemon dresses now going to look on the high street first!

I'm thinking of having sunflowers and yellow gerberas on the tables (also in a barn) and I found this picture as inspiration:

I also recently met with florists, and they were talking about a recent wedding where they'd had daisies sprinkled on the tables which worked really well with yellow flowers in a barn.

My main colour is blue but I'm having daisies too as the theme is country fayre.

    Here's a mood board:

Here's the bouquet: tanacetum are the small daisies that might be worth asking for?

And these are the faux pomanders I made for the pew ends and two spheres for outside the church:

I love the sunflowers, look great! Did the florist say whether they were expensive or not?

Sunflowers look fabulous, and are really cost effective if you're getting married when they're in season. You should be fine in May. They look great in bouquets too, especially if you use one of the smaller varieties. There's a pic within a gallery on my webpage here... www.bygeorgebespoke.co.uk/testimonials.html if you want to get an idea.
