    Hi

    Some ideas:

Snowflakes as  a motif. Silver and pale blue make a lovely color combination. Use pinecones and evergreens as decorations. Serve comfort foods such as soups, stews and decadent chocolate desserts.

Thanks Kim. I love the ideas of snow flakes and i think thats what the theme will be worked around.

We are having a deep purple colour theme so can hopefully get that to work with the theme too.

Hi, that's a lovely idea. Smile

I really like white and silver for winter wonderland. And of course some lovely candles...

Hello I am having a winter wonderland theme which is based around Snowflakes, Ice blue, silver and white

My main staples are lots of sparkle and glitter, feathers, fairylights, snowflake designs and instead of flowers I am having silver glittered twigs and archways.

Let me know if I can help at all x

Im having a christmas wedding with red and lots of snowflakes too. Im having fairylights and organza draped around the room, as our original plan of hiring a starlight cloth porved to be a bit too expensive. Over the dance floor im going to have lots of snowflakes dangling to look as though its snowing on the guests, and santa will be coming for the kids. Possibly having a snow machine too as a present from my brother. Was supposed to be a surprise but i wanted to know what it was. lol.

    Hi Laura

Sparkle and glitter sounds great, what type of things are you having that includes them?

I still want flowers for myself and bridesmades, but the centre pieces i want frosted twigs with a tiny bit of purple somewhere if the florist can do something like that.

Sounds like you have got the exact wedding that i want!!

    What date is yours?

A champagne fountain looks like a fountain in winter, especially if you have ivy trailing from the top or a white chocolate fountain. Flower girls can be dressed like ice princesses

    Hi!

My dress is v.v. sparkly- so is my tiara and veil. The twigs in all the vases are dipped in glitter so they really shine. My cake also has edible diamonds and crystal showers on it. I have quite a lot of mirrored pieces- mirror plates and mirrored square vases for the top table. My stationary has stick on diamonds on it. It sounds a bit much but its all in moderation.

I have included colour in my twig arrangements by having them sit in blue gel- I also have ice blue and navy blue table drops.

On the windows to the marquee I am hanging different sized willow heart wreaths and snowflakes at different lengths and like Kirsty I agree fairy lights and candles everywhere is a must. Ivy runs through my theme too.

My bridesmaid BQ have feathers around them and Ice Blue dresses and I am having blue feathers scattered on the aisle rather than petals. We all also have fur shrugs and so much more!

It really is a very fun theme where you can be traditional and slightly different at the same time. Also alot of people havent experienced a winter wedding before.

My wedding is almost a year- 29th January 2011.
