  Contact Morning all Up early - although had a better nights sleep thank goodness.  Woken to another blizzard....more snow is expected too!!  Which means Im stuck in the house AGAIN H back to work after heating broke down yesterday so I will be well and truly bored! Feeling heavy and uncomfy but apart from that....nothing!!! Hope everyone is well and baby out vibes to kmw, lmh, goldfish and all those who want them...including me!   Contact Good morning all, we're in a winter wonderland too! Meggy - Hope you're day isn't too boring, think of it as a chance to watch all the rubbish things your H would enjoy, that's what I did on maternity leave.  Me - Had another horrendous night with M, it's getting beyond a joke now, and it's making the days very tedious too as we're all grumpy. Baby was also joining in on the antics last night and once I'd managed to coax M back to sleep, he decided to do an hour long jig which wasn't entirely appreciated. So I'm tired and cranky, M is the same, but I'm determined to enjoy the snow today, which I hope will cheer us both up!  Baby out vibes to all those that need or want them. and have a good day.   Contact Morning all! Meggy - Glad to hear that you had better sleep last night, but sorry that you are stuck indoors again.  Hope that you manage to find something suitable trashy to watch on TV! Aims - Sounds like you had a bad night then!  Aliya is fine at night, but this baby is incredibly active I I spent a lot of last night lying awake with him throwing some kind of party inside!   Hope you manage to get some rest today. AFM - My appointment with the CPN went really well yesterday, she agrees that starting medication prior to delivery or immediately afterwards is not a good plan, and is very happy to wait and see what happens and reassess if the depression does come back.  I'm so relieved as so far "pre-emptive" antidepressants  have been offered by all the healthcare professionals I have seen and I was so worried that i'd be branded stubborn or awkward just because I don't want to take medication unless I know I need it.  So that is a big "PHEW" on my part! She was also really good and explained what the "usual" protocol would be, and how she will tailor it to be more suitable for my circumstances.  So usually she would see a mum about 4 weeks after the birth to assess for depression, but because my symptoms started so early (within a few days) she has arranged to see me less than 2 weeks after my due date, and if baby comes early, we just ring to let her know and she will re-schedule it accordingly.  We also talked a little bit about the mum and baby perinatal psychaitric unit at Nottingham in case I need to be admitted, although she says that in her 6 years in post, she has only ever referred 3-4 mums there - so some good odds!  Its made me feel like I have a really good safety net in place, and finally I feel far more "at peace" with the whole situation.  Plans for today?  None really !  Its been snowing again overnight, so i'll avoid driving anywhere I think, might try and waddle down to the Spar in the village as we could do with some more milk.  Also going to attempt to wax my legs ready for my mum-to-be spa day on Sat - that could be interesting! lol Beautiful bridal tiaras and bridal jewellery Join us on Facebook

  Contact Morning, may I sneak in here please?! I'm 27+5 and hadn't really thought about now being in the 3rd tri but apparently it has snuck up on me! Meggy - hope you find something nice to do today! aims - Sorry you had an awful night - hope things improve. Starstruck - So glad the CPN appt went well, and it sounds like things are really positive for you which is just fab! Well today is my day off, and also my birthday! But there is loads of snow and ice out there so my day out with friends is cancelled and me and E (2) will be playing indoors...again. I'm bored of being stuck in, especially as H is working from home so he's taken over the dining room which really stops us doing baking or anythign messy as I'd rather do it at the dining room table. Sadly the need for the phone socket means he's stuck there. Not sure what we'll do - probably read lots of books if E has any say in it! Have lovely day all, Incog 27+5

  Contact Meggy - glad you got a half decent sleep, it makes all the difference.  Sorry you are geting bored, I hate cabin fever.  I am getting sick of the snow/ice for the very same reason.  Not much you can do with a toddler in this weather.   Aims - Not a good night not ou.  We have had a few bad nights recntly with A, she is loaded with cold and also teething, not a great combinaion!  Hope you sleep better tonight.   Starstruck - sounds like a very positive appointment yesterday and I am sure you will feel more at ease just knowing there is help there IF you need it.  Really hoping you dont though.   AFM - I was nightshift last night so getting read to head to bed.  Working again tonight and can really see it far enought.  Think I am goiong to struggle until I finish work now as I was ready for bed by 10pm last night but didnt finish work until 7am!!   I had MW yesterday, all fine.  Got conultant in 3 weeks and MW again 2 weeks after.  I am trying to get swapped from CMU to MLU so fingers crossed they will allow me to swap over this time.  Hope everyone has a good day.  I am off to try and get some sleep, less than 9 hours until I start work again!

  Contact Morning all Meggy, I know what you mean about being stuck in the house again, I am so bored even though the boys are off school, they are fed up and I just want to get back to normal,  baby out vibes to you. Aims, Hope that you have fun in the snow and that you have a better night tonight. Starstuck, I am really pleased that you are feeling better about what will happen when the baby arrives, it sounds like they are really  looking after you. As for me, I am still here, still niggling away  but no actual signs that baby is making any real attempts to arrive.  The boys are home again today, I love them to bits but I am tired of the squabbling and to be fair I think they both want to be back at school with their own friends instead of just stuck with each other. i am fed up of the snow, it looks lovely but its frozen over, I haven't been out of the house properly for days and I think I am getting stir crazy, I am waiting in for my delivery of real nappies today and also for the garage to come and get our car that was damaged by another car 3 days before christmas but due to all the snow/christmas/new year etc its only getting picked up today, we've had a hire car so its not too bad.   Contact Morning all!! just to pop on quickly to say hi! hope you are all doing ok and lots of baby out vibes for everyone that needs them! we survived our 1st night at home alone. amelia woke up every 3 hours or so for a feed and nappy change. we keep making each other jump when i go to check she is ok and still breathing she jumps, i jump ,we all jump, haha!! i am doing ok in myself after the section, taking thing very very easy. will do my birth story soon for anyone that is interested and if you would be ok if i posted it? loubielou and amelia x

  Contact Morning all, I woke up this morning to a beautiful white scene in our garden, and its still snowing, most of the schools in plymouth are closed except my daughters, I had tears this morning as you can imagine. Mrs MW - Glad you managed a better nights sleep, but sorry your going stir crazy being stuck in the house. aims - Sorry you had an awful night with M and baby, must have been something in the air last night, hope you have fun in the snow today. Starstruck - Glad CPN went well and you feel like a massive weight has been lifted off of your shoulders, theres nothing worse than worrying about depression, I was terrified about depression whilst being pregnant as thats what I had last time, far worse than post natal but luckily I have had some good support and have had no problems. Good Luck with the waxing, much braver than me, I wouldnt even attempt it, the pain scares me to much, silly really seeing I will be giving birth in the next 14 weeks incognito - Happy Birthday firstly and welcome to the 3rd trimester. I was just like you, 3rd trimester creeped up on me and completly forgot about it until Pip told me to get on here, lol. Hope your day with E goes ok and you dont get to bored. MrsJKN - Hope you manage a good sleep and dont work to hard tonight kmw - baby out vibes being sent your way, hope the boys dont argue to much today and give you a relaxing day AFM - Im shattered, H and me swapped sides of the bed last night so I dont struggle getting out of bed and it was so uncomfortable, biscuit was moving constantly and playing trampoline on my bladder again. Im feeling very uncomfortable at the moment, im struggling to breath. I have had to cancel Physio today as I would rather not drive as its been snowing and I dont feel safe driving, I have never driven in snow before and wouldnt have a clue what to do if I slid. Starstruck - I'm glad that your appointment with the CPN went ok. I bet it's a weight off you mind that they aren't going to make you do anything without first seeing what you do yourself. Nice to know what the plan would be too. Waxing legs sounds fun ha ha! Incognito - Happy Birthday! Shame the snow has scuppered your plans. I'd just get the paints out and pop them on the kitchen floor, make foot prints, and then go and make foot prints in the snow or something like that....Nothing like being couped up with the toddler! I feel your pain with being stuck indoors, M had been poorly since New Years Day, and aside from yesterday where she was well and got to go to preschool, I've had the four walls of my house for company.
