  • Scan update (bit mixed!) PIC ADDED

    Hi all,

Quick update as think I will need to pop off again for a bit.

So we had our private anomaly scan today at 1.30 and it seems that there's not much to worry about with the baby's heart - we could see a little white dot but the sonographer said it's very common and as there are no other markers it's most likely just one of those things. The heart structure, blood flow etc was all great and she was very happy with everything.

Downside... she couldnt find the right kidney and I need to be rescanned next Sat. They tried calling the hospital but there's no one there to talk to so have to wait and see what to do next. Bit of a funny one because we thought she said she saw both at the beginning of the scan and our weds scan says both seen (however we are dubious as this scan seemed to conflict some things from then and we are worried he was rushing and didnt really look - the placenta position for example was wrong on the hospital report). Actually feeling very positive still as for one thing she said it's most likely the position and if there is only one kidney it's not the end of the world as some people just have one.

Scan experience was lovely and she was really nice, went out of her way to help us and called the hospital etc for us. We were also there for 90 mins and she really looked at everything.

    Thanks for bearing with me!

I'm glad this scan was a more positive experience for you Pip.  I am sure there is nothing to worry about, and I hope next Saturday puts your mind completely at rest Hug

Oh and one of the funnies is that her legs are measuring quite long which to me is hilarious as a 5ft nothing girl - she's got measurements of a 23 weeker at 21 weeks.
