So the forum was running a little slow for a while .......... Its not the end of the world.

you really haven't got it at all, have you? Most of us have been here for years, increasing the click rate for Darren's advertising royalties and not causing any trouble as the vast majority of disputes are sorted out amongst ourselves. When the forum was ridiculously slow, taking hours to actually open a thread, Darren saw fit to post a thread chastising us like small children for a (fairly minimal) amount of swearing that goes on. Dean later reposted in a easier to understand and less inflammatory manner and Darren also apologised, suggesting he had realised it was a massive error of judgement, but for some it was the last straw of OT posters being treated as completely irrelevant and unimportant - when in fact OT keeps posters on here, to graduate to BT, occasionally help out planners and most important of all increase advertising revenue. Coincidentally, Melancholie had started a forum to use whilst the forum was slow and those of us that used it found it to be much like the hitched of old - running at a reasonable speed and bloody good fun. As it goes I'm quite happy to come back here if others choose to, and I'm using BT here as BTers have mostly stayed, but at the moment you're quite welcome to the 8 threads that have been posted on today <shrug>

I have in my time on here been pulled up by fellow hitchers for my spelling ( which i asmit isnt the best lol ) My views have been called imature on more than one occasion.....
I guess what im thinking is some of the people who have flounced off maybe should have done it a while ago 
Maybe some of the lurkers will come out without fear of being ripped apart for their views etc.
Fingers crossed Hitched will become a friendlier kind of place as new people find their feet and join us.
I hear this 'ripped apart' thing oft quoted and as far as I can tell it's utter rubbish. The people who are saying this has happened are mostly weak little milksops that cannot cope with a conflicting opinion to their own being posted on their threads. Many of the people on the 'other side' are the most prolific, helpful, interesting and intelligent people from OT and that's why it's been such a good laugh over there. If you want rid of those then it says an awful lot about you.
