  • he's walking!!!

MJ is just 10mths and he's now walking :-)

i got home from work friday and he just walked over to me - i burst into tears i felt so proud of him.  He's very stable on his feet and very well balanced it looks so odd seeing him walk around he looks far too tiny, this evening he was almost running he was so excited to be doing it.

thats it now! i'm gonn be exhaused from now on

Well done to your LO!  How fab!  But, yes I should imagine you are going to be exhausted from now on.  My LO is crawling and he's only just about to turn 6 months......I'm hoping walking isn't too early as the more mobile they are the more tiring it is!

Sounds like mine - he can pull up to standing on the bottom stair - it's the ony thing at the right height for him at the moment.  He so wants to stand that he'll cry until he is held upright at his activty centre.  My arms ache, but at least it makes him happy! trouble with early walkers is you have to start the expense of buying shoes earlier!

Pants about the difficult shoe size.  Someone told me that their LO had bouts of being clumsy - turned out that whenever his feet grew it took him a while to get used to them and it made him clumsy!

    ahh well done MJ

and yes you will now be wishing yourself back to the age where he stayed put! C started walking at 10 months and it is exhausting.

    Well done MJ Cheers

Its such an emotional moment isn't it watching your baby tottering towards you?

S started at 10 months too and within a week was walking everywhere. I have to say I really quite enjoy it, she goes for walks in woods kicking up leaves, we can pop into some shops without the pram and it helps with my bad back not having to carry her so much. The main thing is she loves it. Like your little boy, she was so excited and just squealing with delight the day she was doing her first steps across the room.
