It's Friday 1st Trimester Ladies!

Hi, I couldn't see another one and I don't think I've ever started the thread before, so I thought I would today as it's probably the last time I'll be on it. I don't usually come on much at the weekend except quickly to see if there's any big news and I'm 14 weeks on Tuesday so will be off to 2nd tri then.

I'm feeling a bit weird about moving on bizarrely. It feels like such a big step, which is daft when I already have a child and I've done it before.

I had my blood test done at the doctor's yesterday. It turns out they haven't had any blood test results back for my thyroid levels since August, which is terrible when they're meant to be checking them every 6 weeks whilst I'm PG and I'd made a big effort to have them done monthly. I don't know whose fault it is, and I'm not sure I even care now they all know and are doing something about it, but it knocks your faith in a system working doesn't it? They all made a suitably big fuss about it anyway, so I feel a bit better now. I've just been so unbelievably tired and all this time I was putting it down to pregnancy because I thought they were keeping an eye on my levels. I'll get the results today and find out what's been going on.

MrsMcG - I feel a bit weird moving over to second tri too, I kind of never expected to get this far with all my worrying. I hope your thyroid levels are ok, thats just typical of the NHS isn't it? Hopefully it won't have made a difference to your tiredness levels, and now that you are over 13 weeks that will start to settle down. Just keep on their backs for the rest of the tests.

As for me, still on a high from the scan. I told my boss yesterday and he took it REALLY badly. I have worked here for over 6 years but you would have though that I had only just joined and was taking the p*ss. I managed to get an unemotional well done out but basically he just sat there in a mood in an awkward silence. Oh well, nothing could have brought me down from cloud nine but it would have been nice for him to react as a friend first and then a boss.

Ar$es to your boss. What a terrible way to react. Like you say, don't let it spoil everything going welel at the scan. xx

MrsMcG - good luck in your second trimester, I think you're in it now, at 13 weeks?  How awful about your bloods, I hope they get them sorted properly now.  Also hope the tiredness passes soon.  I'm really struggling with this, but I'm mostly tired because of my otherwise lovely daughter waking at the crack of dawn!

pink lily - don't let him bring you down, he can like it or lump it, miserable sod. 

me- fine really, but just so, so tired.  I've been quite emotional over the last few days for various reasons and it's taken it out of me.  Charlotte has been waking flipping early and also in the night, which isn't like her at all.  Fingers crossed she stops soon .  Looking forward to my booking appointment next Tues and my scan the following Monday, so just over a week away.

Morning all.  Pink Lily, knackers to your boss.  As you say, all that kind of attitude does is make it less likely you'll stay loyal to them!

I'm feeling really sick today.  Bleurgh.  Just sipping my glass of icy juice so hopefully I'll feel a bit better in a few minutes.  I'm off to the doctor's this morning, and I've managed to get an appointment with "my" doctor so I'll mention the crazy anxiety to him.  I've got a heavy week coming up next week at work - 4 days instead of my normal 2  - and I'm a bit worried about how I'll feel by the end of it all

Morning everyone. I joined the 1st trimester club last November and remember a few of you (well, mostly Mrs McG - always think of the film director McG when I see your posts and so imagine you like Cameron Diaz in Charlie's Angels!). I m/cd mid December unfortunately, but miracles of miracles, conceived 2 weeks later and here I am again.

So, second pregnancy, hopefully first baby. I am only 5+ 1, so it seems very early to be speaking about it! Doctors appointment today, and I'll hopefully get a referral to the EPU this time.

Pinklilly, your boss is clearly gutted at losing such a valuable member of the team, take it as a compliment even though he is clearly a very mean man!

Hi KatT, sorry to hear you're feeling a bit down at the moment, sure all the hormones flying about aren't helping.  Hopefully Charlotte will get back into her normal sleep routine soon.

PL, hope the juice has done the trick by now!  Good luck at the doctos also.

Sazd - hope the scan goes well.

Nothing much new from me, still bleeding but feeling so reassured from my 2nd early scan on Wednesday.  Can't wait for my proper 12 week on 3rd Feb so I can start telling people at work.  Starting to get a very small bump unless I'm imagining it!

KatT - hope you're feeling better soon. Harriet's sleep has thankfully been better the last few nights. No night tantrums and only one waking to get in with us. I always thought 2nd tri started at 14 weeks, though I keep reading 13 weeks too.

CV - I'm feeling far from Charlie's Angels at the moment! Hope you get some reassurance fro an early scan.

PL - glad you got an appointment with 'your' doctor. That always helps I think. Hope you feel better soon.

DG - You probably aren't imagining your bump. I've been in maternity jeans since 10 weeks. I think a lot of it was bloating, but there was a definite small bump there under it all.

Just a quick one from me as absolutely nothing to report here! Feeling a bit bunged up this morning so even more tired than normal but at least it's Friday & H can take over for a bit this weekend!

We're telling our parents & siblings this weekend- not sure how they'll react as I think they'll be a bit surprised at the small age gap...oh well!

I wrote a long reply earlier and then it crashed before posting!  So this is the short version.

I am off on hols tomorrow for a week and will be 14 weeks when I get back so heading to 2nd tri but will pop back to say goodbye before i go.

I am feeling pretty crap today - was REALLY sick this morning and have come down with a cold.  Have stayed at home today rather than heading to the office so will just tie up whatever loose ends I have to and that's it.

Morning all

Feeling so sick this morning I can hardly move

Had my 1st scan last night - was lovely! Saw my little one and it made it seem so real all of a sudden! Dr was trying to do the measurements (nuchal scan) but baby would move into right positions so ended up having an internal scan as well (H went really pale when he saw the size of the probe thingy!)

Get my results back this afternoon and they are posting me pictures (though we did take some on our camera phones last night anyway)

Due date has moved forward a little - now 29th July which makes me 12+2 (only 3 days ahead of what I thought)

Amandam- Glad your scan went well! I have warned H about the possibility of an internal scan but I think it went in one ear and out the other...

All ok here, nausea still follows the same pattern every day. I can tell H is getting fed up with my weird appetite now so I am hoping it improves over the next few weeks. Tummy is definitely growing a little bump and my boobs don't look like mine anymore!
