I've got an 8G ipod nano which is full of a mixture of music and audio-books.

As it's now full, I thought I'd get another one and keep one for music and one for books.  However, this would mean having two ipods and copying some stuff a second time onto the new ipod.....and I've a feeling I've read on here that iTunes won't let you do this.

Is this right?  Has anyone got any sensible suggestions as to how to get round this?

    Thanks

I THINK you can download your purchased items onto another ipod once that you have saved - but not 100% sure

Well, you can certainly download onto an iPod and an iPhone and keep the two functioning separately, so I don't see why you can't do it to two iPods.  After all, as far as iTunes is concerned, my iPhone is a second iPod.

I have an iPod Classic and H and I have a  Shuffle each and we have used the same iTunes library for all of them.

Thanks all. That's good news.  I was sure I'd read on here of someone having problems copying purchased items a second time to their H's iPod.

Now I just need to worry about which iTrip-type-device to buy....

Do I go for one which is powered by a cigarette lighter?  but on long journeys I usually have my sat nav plugged in here.

Do I go for one which is powered by the iPod? But I'm guessing this won't last that long

Do I go for one which is battery powered?  But again, I guess the batteries won't last that long.

    I've got this Griffin iTrip-type thingy http://www.currys-ishop.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=1229373&query=griffin%20fmt2%20itouch&path=156076,303919,303958

I found the battery powered one I had (Belkin Tunecast II) not as good as the Griffin one because the power from the cigarette lighter gave it a better boost, I wasn't able to tune in with the Belkin one and get my music.

I didn't have any problems with the Griffin one (until I left the wire hanging out of the door, drove to work, and mashed up the end so I couldn't use it Sad )
