Hope everyone is well. Did search for a thread but just off to check again before I write too much!

Hello again - definitely no thread!

I have my scan and a midwife appointment this afternoon so that is something to look forward to. I now cannot do my work trousers up. At All. Last week they were just a bit tight. Err, may have been eating too much cake, am not sure the bump can grow that big alone so quick!

I ams till a little scared on trimester threads so I know my contributions are few and far between and not much use either lol!

I thought Id piost today because my friend had a baby at 36 weeks yesterday, spontaneous labour, no previous problems etc, but all is well and little girl was born a very good weight of 6lb4oz! Made me realise how quickly pregnancy goes in the grand scheme of things. Although it doesnt feel like it for me at the moment.

My SPD is making an unwelcomed return boooooooo. Been in agony in bed all night and cans till feel it now ive got up and im only 16+1. Cant be doing crutches with a toddler and no car.

Other than that dont really feel pregnant. Feeling a few flutters and have been checking the heartbeat every now and again to reassure myself.

Am seeing the MW on mionday for HB check and so will discuss the SPD then.

Also starting to worry about going into hospital as I have a phobia and want my H to stay with me the whole time but obviously this may not be possible. I just want all the worrying over with.

I dont really know anyone yet on this thread to do personals but i hope everyone is ok and wishing you lots of pregnancy comfort!!!

Heartnurse - hope all is well with you.

Yesterday I had a routine midwife appointment and the fundus height was measuring on the lowest line of the graph - not even the bottom centile line.  So at 25 + 4 I am measuring 22 weeks.  The midwife seemed concerned and the upshot is that they have booked me in for a growth scan next Thurs. Originally had one booked in for end of October anyway due to history with first pregnancy but they want to bring it forward.

Up until this week I thought this pregnancy was going swimmingly! 

Anyway trying not to worry too much as nothing I can do until we have the scan next thurs.  Off on caravan hols this weekend so a break will do me good and take my mind off things.

Morning ladies!

I've got a midwife appointment for more bloods this morning. She couldn't get enough out of me when I booked in! I had a very sore left hip/buttock and numb left leg when standing for 5 minutes yesterday so I'll be mentioning that while I'm there.

Apart from that, all is well here.

Can I have my scans added to the scan list? I have one on the 28th October when I'll be 16 weeks and another on 19th December when I'll be 24 weeks.

Bubbles - hope all is well, my sister always measureed 2 weeks bigger than she was but all was well with her. It is good that you are being checked out though.

Jingle - welcome to the 2nd trimester thread. Definitley mention your SPD to the midwife. I had it quite severely in my last pregnancy but this time round my midwife referred me to the Physio at 10 weeks so it is not bad at all at the moment - as long as I do my exercises!

Sharrington - hope they get enough blood this time!

really good luck with your scan i hope bubs is in the prefect position for the scan. SOmetimes the bump does just pop out... getting to 21 weeks before you need maternity clothes is fab.. i am sure i will be in them by 12 weeks

I'm 19+5 today and can't believe I'm (pretty much) halfway through. And it all seems to be trundling along fairly smoothly, which is lovely. I had my scan yesterday - did a post here (with pics) - all was looking good and it has definitely made it all feel a bit more real. I've got a busy few weeks coming up - back to all our groups next week (school holidays at the moment) and then my parents & sister arrive for a visit on Sun 19th. I can't wait to see them, can't wait to do some exploring of NZ with them (Megan and I are flying up to Auckland to meet them and then we're all moseying back down to Wellington over the course of 5 nights) and looking forward to the goodies they are bringing out with them that I've been ordering from the UK - including my Isabella Olivier top.

I went back to the chemist to get some more thrush treatment, which hopefully will sort things out. I'm next seeing the midwife in 3 weeks so will definitely talk to them about it - am a little worried that there's an underlying reason as to why I seem to be susceptible this pregnancy but didn't have it at all last time - or when I'm not pregnant. I've heard that gestational diabetes can be a cause, although hoping that isn't the case.

Heartnurse - best of luck at the scan - I find that my bump definitely goes through growth spurts and will suddenly sprout a few inches

Jingle - ouch for your SPD - that sounds really sore, and it must be worrying to get it so badly so early

bubbles05 - those fundal measurements are soooo inaccurate - but good to get it all checked out

Sharrington - lovely to see you on here - 1st time I've been onto this thread in a couple of days and I can't believe you're 2nd tri already - how exciting! I hate having blood taken - and midwives seem to do it particularly badly - I've often got huge bruises for days afterwards.

Hello all,

Quick one from me this morning. Hope everyone is well and scans go OK. I had a really bad afternoon/night yesterday-lots of bump pains and felt sick again. I am hoping it's just all the stretching and growing but having felt so good for a good few weeks it panicked/upset me. H got home late from work and was in floods of tears on the sofa. Anyway, better to day and I have reached 20+0 so I feel that I am properly pregnant now and belong on the 2nd tri thread.

Right better get on with some work before the children arrive.

me - left hip quite sore this morning  and my pelvis did not like manoeuvering out of the shower first thing.  AH well.  Off to see the GP this afternoon so I don't have to put up with the hideous chair for too long today - or tomorrow for that matter!  Almost managed a decent night's sleep too and it's yoga tonight, so feeling remarkably sprightly this morning all things considered.

21+4 for us.. E got us both up in the night screaming so I nipped to the loo, never checked and H went after me and told me there was alot of blood in the toilet.. we panicked (as you would) but on investigation, it would appear to be a nasty tear near my bottom dripping blood[:'(]. I also have the start of those lovely piles, which caused me so much pain last time round so I am offski to get pessiries today to plug in and keep them at bay!!!!  (sorry for the TMI)..

Heartnurse reaching almost 22 weeks without maternity trousers you're doing well! I've already bought a pair of maternity jeans and I'm only 17+6!

Bubbles05 - Hope everything looks fine by the time you ahve your growth scan next week!

Sharrington - Hope they get all the bloods they need this time - I had a bruise that went half way up my arm after having my bloods done at my booking in appointment cos she had to wiggle the needle so much to take all the blood! I almost wish she'd told me to come back another day!!

superhoop - glad your scan went well - sounds like you have a lovely few days planned for when your mum and sister visit, I'm more than a little jealous!!

EmsieS - I'm sure the pains are just everything stretching and growing!

All is well with me today - I'm starting to feel like I'm getting a bit of a bump - though for others looking at me I probably just look like I've been eating too many crisps!(which I have!!)  Still getting lots of little flutters and loving it!! Though I'm really looking forward to getting kicks strong enough for H to feel too!  I haven't been sick now for over a week, which is something of a record - long may it continue!! I do still feel queasy alot but it looks like it's easing up all the same! 

My dentist gave me a prescription for a toothpaste that's higher in fluride than normal ones as I was worried about what all the throwing up was doing to my teeth - and she's given me a mouthwash to use after any time I'm sick too that should nuetralise the stomach acid in my mouth - I was really worried about my mouth and gums and she's really put my mind at ease!

Edited to say - I didn't mean to leave anyone out - just took me that long to reply and I haven't quite got the hang of doing the quick reply thing so I seemed to skip some people - hope everyone else is well!!

Thanks all - I think I am just getting twitchy the nearer I get to the scan! I am a champion worrier! Also I need to remember I am pg and cannot stand on ladders hanging things from the ceiling like I used to!!

Hi all, just popped on to say hi.

Unfortunately have woken up with a rotten cold. Feeling lousy and got to get through a Powerpoint course this afternoon.. yuk!

Really glad I've got the day off tomorrow - got the nursery furniture being delivered.  It'll then be 'nag at husband time' trying to get him to construct it all in his free time!

Sorry can't do personals - I feel dreadful
