  • Getting ready with my bridesmaids - gifts?!

    Morning everyone!

The night before my wedding I am planning on staying at the hotel where I will be getting married, my bridesmaids and other family members will also be staying!

I want to get ready with my bridesmaids in the morning - one will be 27 and the other is 7! I want to make it as special for them as it will be for me. Are any of you lovely ladies getting ready with your bridesmaids and if so are you getting them gifts for the morning of your wedding?

    xx

I have made my bridesmaids a box ( if you look at my most recent post you will see a picture of it) in the adults I have put a dressing gown with bridesmaid on it, some lipgloss, some hair serum, some hair grips, a jewlry set and a wrap with a little note attached, for the younger ones I have decorated the box with pictures they can colour in and have put a dressing gown with flower girl, some glittery nail varnish and some colouring pencils.

I think I will get them a prezzie of some description, necklace / bracelet maybe or if we have sorted that already I have thought about a photo frame.

I got my ladies some a vest with bridesmaid on it, jewelry, perfume, a handbag, clips for their hair and I wrote a personal letter to them which was in theirs thank you cards. I wasn't in the room when they read the cards, but when I popped back in they were crying!

We rented a cottage the night before. Sister, sister-in-law, 2 bridesmaids and 4 flower girls all stayed. The night before I gave them all personalised dressing gowns and on the morning I gave BM's and FG's their wedding jewellery. They also had a little preszze when we gave out a few family prezzies.

Jewellery to wear on the day or keep for future is lovely idea, but I would say that!  If you need any ideas though take a look at my website.  Many designs can be specially tailored to suit your requirements and made in childrens sizes.

Apart from that, I think what a previous hitcher said about little bag of goodies sounds nice.

When I got married we did gifts the night before the wedding at the hotel, in our room.  My sister was the only adult bridesmaid and I bought her a lovely bracelet to wear on the day.  My two little nieces who were also bridesmaids received special ballerina ornaments which they collected and bridesmaids memory books aimed at younger bridesmaids.  I had also previously bought tiaras as their gifts.

I wanted to get some nice bits of jewellry but I dont have tonnes of spare money for bridesmaids gifts so I had a change of plan. I have found a few websites and also sellers on ebay who personalise champagne flutes and so I am going to get them all one of those so that we can enjoy a glass of bubbly together whilst we are getting ready.
