Nothing this time, but first time round I was very very particular and wanted the fairytale. I got rather carried away and bridezilla: My colours were gold and cream. So I banned white from the wedding. This didn't simply mean the men had to wear pale ivory shirts instead of white, but also me throwing a hissy fit at the venue for only having white tablecloths, and insisting they hire in ivory cloths with gold runners and napkins! Oh, and I also stated on the invitations that the wedding colours were "ivory, gold, and fire colours" and hinted that the guests may like to co-ordinate.
What WAS I thinking?!
I'm pleased to say this time I was far far more laid back. Wedding was just the 2 of us anyway, and for the reception my MOH chose the colour scheme (that I didnt' like, but it was her dress so her choice). Family helped decorate the venue and when they asked me how I wanted it, I said i really didn't mind as long as it looked pretty, and when people asked me about a dress code, I said as long as they turned up, I didn't give a hoot! So we had everything from formal dress to jeans and t-shirt turn up, and it really, really didn't matter :)
