Venue shopping today

Morning!

We're off venue shopping today.  The deal seems to be pretty good (it's off peak) and the place is lovely.  We're heard good reports from other people who have been for weddings there, though  we've not been to one there.

I think I am well on my way now, with the big stuff being lined up and checked off.  I need to put the deposit down on our photographer over the next week.

The only thing is that I am a bit bored of WP at the moment.  I think it's because I have got started so early and had a couple of  family related gripes on the way.  Our wedding is 18 months away, and I just think it was a bit early to get started.  The way I am trying to look  at it is to book the venue and tog, then take some time out and save the money to pay off stuff.

Good luck for your venue shopping :) We booked our venue at about 18 months away and now at nearly 14 months (tomorrow) we have just booked our photographer. Taking some time out is a good idea. I was getting a bit bored as well to be honest but probably because we spent 4 months looking for a venue and 5 months looking for a photographer, but now I'm moving on to other things such as flowers and hoping to wedding dress drop with my mum next month :)

Book the big things then just look for different ideas rather than actually "plan" your wedding at this stage. Then begin planning again in maybe 6 months time.

The venue was lovely, the day coordinator showed us around, so I need to book another meeting with the wedding coordinator to get costs etc.

As soon as this and the tog are booked, I think I shall take some time out.

We are around 18 months to go as well, we have booked the hotel and the band. We will be booking the registrar in November. Apart from that we will wait till end of the year to start dress shopping and the rings etc.. I do feel like myself and OH have started too early but the band is very popular so had to book them and the hotel had  too good a deal to turn down.
