Bridesmaid !!!!!!

Well my bridesmaid tried on her dress she old me to get her a size 18 it diddnt for I couldn't even do it up at the back so a size 20 was ordered STILL couldn't do it up but she won't let me change it for a size 22 she say she will loose he weight but there is 6 weeks till the wedding she goes on holiday for a week in 2. Weeksi read on fb she has pizza take away and drinks I have said should I get the other size and she's like nope I'll get in to it but I still can hardly do it up I don't no what to do I can't do it behind her back as she will no I jut think I have tried speakin to her now she won't listen on the day if it doesn't fit it serves her right any advice?

There is not a lot you can do I dont think.  She knows she has 6 weeks to get into the dress so its on her to fit into it.

Yes I do have a lot of dramas it's a joke should be the happiest time and people annoy me coz there so ungrateful

Did you not say in one of your previous threads that your MOH was causing issues and your bridesmaid was being really helpful?  So, is the MOH not fitting in her dress or the bridesmaid?

Can u buy the size 22 without telling her, then when the time comes if she doesnt fit into the 20, then tell her? say u got it just in case, she can hardly moan about it if she doesnt manage to lose the weight

My bridesmaid fitted in her dress when I got it for her, and then gained 2 stone is as many months virtually. The original dress was discontinued so I couldn’t get it in a bigger size. I had to buy a huge one off ebay and get my mum to completely fashion a new dress out of the material (younger bridesmaid dress was already made in that fabric). 

I conducted myself very carefully and tactfully in this situation. Ladies generally feel very sensitive about their weight and I’m sure she will like to think she can fit in it, my friend was the same. I strongly advise that you are kind and gentle with her and speak with compassion instead of checking up on her eating habits on FB. It cost me over £100 and a lot of stress to fix my situation but I did not make my bridesmaid feel uncomfortable with it all.

If you do nothing and she can’t do her dress up on the day that would be an absolute disaster and a really petty thing to do. Please just talk to her properly.

I do think you should just get the bigger one.  It's much easier to make a dress smaller than it is to increase the size.

get the bigger one and change the size tags!

I would get the bigger one. If she doesn't lose the weight then she can't really get annoyed at you considering she didn't do what she said she would, and if she does you could always get it altered.

Get the bigger one. Definitely. Not worth the risk. The chances of her slimming down in six weeks with a holiday in the middle are minimal.

Can you buy the bigger size and leave the tags on just in case? That way if she doesn't manage to lose the weight in time for the wedding you can explain that you had been worried that this might happen so got the bigger size just in case, then you avoid a real drama. If she does really well and loses the weight (which she could, if she is really strict with herself in what she eats and ensuring that gets sufficient exercise, if she is quite significantly over weight then the first pounds could drop off really quickly if she cuts out the naughty stuff) then you need not worry and you can return the larger dress and get yourself a refund. She won't even have to know you bought it!

I agree - I'm usually not for deceiving people but she sounds like she's messing you around too much. Buy the bigger one, change the tags or just remove them. If she does loose weight is is a LOT easier to take a dress in than to take one out.
