My dress is actually NOT a plus size dress, but is worn by an average model in the pictures. Thats partly why i've been having such worries about it on me. As soon as I have photos of me in it I will flash, I'm also wearing it with a lace bolero. Here's the model for now though:

This is exactly my worry with the one I want !!

This is a model in the one I want and TBH I don't think the model does the dress any justice as she is too skinny for it.

I've seen other B2B post photos in their dresses along side the model pic and IMO often the dress fits them better for that exact reason.

They are both beautiful dresses and will look even better with real women in them.  The models are nothing more than clothes hangers.  Those styles are crying out for curves.

I love how it's ok to insult slim women Hmm I would have thought as a plus size curvy 'real' woman you would be more sensitive to these types of insults that you are carelessly throwing around.

Other than that some gorgeous dresses on here ladies!

Forgive me if I'm wrong / got the wrong impression, but I took this to be more on an insult (rightly or wrongly) to models more than slim woman! EBB said the dress would look better on a 'real woman' with 'curves' this can be a size 10 or a size 20 woman!! I mentioned on DWC's thread curvy and plus size are 2 very different things!

I do have to agree with EBB, it's been mentioned in several other dress threads, including from 'slim' woman, that the models do the dresses no justice and they look much better on 'real' women!

So what size is a real woman then? Threads like this really p me off. The models in those pictures are a size 6/8- are they not real women? Embrace bridal a find your coathanger comment very rude. I would never call an overweight model in a picture 'fat', especially not on a plus size dress thread! Why exactly is it ok to say someone is too skinny for a dress? Perhaps that then makes it ok for someone to say that a bride is to fat for a dress on a thread?! Where is aj when you need him?!

I'm a bitter old married, I lurk around wedding forums, drinking wine and dispensing bad advice. -Star Best sig, Hitched awards 2012.

My life sucks, I'm pathetic and bitter,my husbands leaving me because I neglect him and my wedding was naff.

Who the hell is aj?? I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets a bit pissed off with these sorts of comments. I think it takes a lot more than size to be a real woman. Missy Lou I agree with some of what you are saying but my point remains that EBB is insulting other women based in their size yet she has set up a shop specifically for plus size women who must have been on the receiving end of insults at some point in their life! So surely she should have some understanding? There is prejudice for women at both ends of the scale, and most skinny people can't do anything about their size, (and why should they if they're healthy?) it's worth remembering that.
