No, if anything I'd have mine reduced!

I would never judge anyone who goes down this route of having surgery, I have friends who've done it. But I would be a bit concerned if the only reason for doing it is the wedding...

I would never consider a boob job myself, even if I felt I "needed" one, just because the thought of surgery terrifies me and I would never put myself and my body through it unless I absolutely had to. I have nothing against boob jobs (as long as they're the natural looking kind and not the melon kind) but I do feel people are a bit too blasé about putting themselves through major surgery sometimes.

I'm not sure if you meant it to come across like this with your wording but it does sound like you're just thinking of having a boob job because you're getting married. How long have you actually been considering surgery for?

I am on the small side and I used to think I'd like a boob job, but I've changed my mind. If you think it would make you happier, then do it. But your wedding is supposed to be about you and your OH, and the fact that you love each other, not about having big boobs for the photos! It might detract from your big day if everyone is commenting on your boob job, rather than your beautiful dress/flowers/etc.

I would love one but certainly would not have one just because I was getting married. A bit extreme no?

no not just coz getting married! im not that shallow! just got to thinking about it the other day is all! AGAIN! can't afford to do this and wedding so will wait for a bit anyway!!!

  • Re: boob jobs!

If i had the cash i would be in the hospital right now!!  I don't think anyone would just get one for a wedding, however knowing that your wedding day is coming it does push you to change parts of yourself you don't like for some its a boob job and for others its losing weight or changing your skincare! we're all guilty of vanity when it comes to are wedding day no one says "your going to lose 3 stone just for your wedding day???" as if the bride to be is mad!

  • Re: boob jobs!

A wedding you must remember, despite how difficult it is to comprehend at the planning stage -is an event.  And to get something of this magnitude just for a wedding day and a few photographs is a bit strange to me.  I am conscious of the advice my hairdresser, as everyone's hairdresser, gives - Don't do a drastic thing such as change your hair colour just for your wedding.

Im not having a boob job and would never consider one, but however i am having my Bunion sorted out specifically for my wedding. At the moment its so big and painful that I can only wear flats. i put off getting it done and getting married was the push I needed.

Perhaps this is also how you feel about your boob job?

I'm a 34EE so honestly, I'm good with my chest (just been told by the other half who're reading over my shoulder to mention he is to!!!). However, I understand the confidence issue if you have small breasts.

When I was 18 I was a 34B and I felt they were too small. I would never consider this to be too small on others, but with my hips being quite wide it bothered me.

When I was 21 for some reason they grew to a C, D, DD and then an E. They're now at a 34EE but partly because I put on a bit of weight. I'm sure I would go down to a DD/E for my wedding.

I would think very very carefully about putting your body through this kind of transformation.

I don't think losing three stone is comparable to putting your body through major surgery, this is what I mean about people being too blasé about cosmetic surgery. It's a real strain on the body, not mentioning the risk of the surgery going wrong. Of course we all want to look our best on our wedding day, but losing a bit of weight does not come with the risks that cosmetic surgery does (unless you're having a gastric band!)

I have had implants, not huge ones just a comfortable D cup.  They are 2 years old now and I am so happy I did it.

Never had a lot up top to begin with but after having my son it was worse and really saggy. feel free to ask me anything.  I didn't use a conveyor belt clinic I saw the best consultant in the county and can't fault him.
