  • winter wedding at clearwell castle

I am getting married next January at Clearwell Castle, My colour scheme is purple and silver and being winter bought a theme of snowflakes.

But I am really struggling on table decorations and favours, to bring in all areas. I keep playing on floating candle bowls, with normal and snowflake candle, with purple gems and snowflake confetti. with either purple and silver favour boxes or Snowflake ones.

Or to put flowers in bowls.

Anyone have ideas of what other people have used there.

Hi There :) We are not getting married at Clearwell Castle but we are having a winter wedding :) Our venue has a barn style venue so we are having our theme very shabby chic christmassy feel to it with red , silver , ivory and flashes of gold . Our tables we are having huge wrought iron candleabras with ivy , holly , berries  and cinnamon twining through to give a lovely christmas smell and feel. I like the idea of floating snowflake candles . I think anything glittery and also soft candlelight brings beauty to your venue and gives it that winter wonderland feel . Youcan get alsorts of little dimond scatter crystals for the tables too now . Sounds lovely whatever you decide xx

I am having a winter wedding this december. My table centres are trees - i think they are about14 inches tall, the trunk is thin and covered in glittery snow, then the branches have a crystal hanging off the ends. I got them from John Lewis last year. Then I'm putting these on mirror plates with some table crystals around them. My theme is snowflakes too, although our colour is charcoal grey .

Oooo, we are also December but not until the 29th.  We have chosen to go winter but not christmas.  We are going very simple but using candles to light the mood.  Romantic candles Big Smile

    Hi,

We are getting married on the 27th December. Our coulour scheme is very similar to yours - cadbury's purple, white and hints of silver, with lots of tea lights.

We also thought about a snowflake theme, and I even found name holders from Hobbycraft in the shape of snowflakes that sit on the rim of the wine glasses. Not sure if this is of any help? Hobbycraft and ebay are really good places to start with getting ideas.

    Good luck!!
