The tickers going down fast how are you all getting on??

bit scary isn't it! not much going on here this week. We've chosen our cake and sent out our first invitation (just the one because its gone to D's Aunt and Uncle who are away on a cruise and its been sent to them for when they get back before they go away AGAIN in april!)

We're going to the suit shop on saturday for D to decide what he wants and to get measured and costed up.

I need to get the invites ordered i'm still messing about. OH chose his suit and looked gorgeous in it. He has an appointment to go and order it with his brothers at the end on the month. It was the only weekend they could all get down from Manchester to be measured. Ordering bridesmaid dresses saturday. They have all tried them so saturday getting measured. Then I will have to go and sort flowers out next week. I think I really need to pull my finger out a bit now its getting so close. (eek excited!!)

I am pretty much sorted with everything just have to pay for it all! We sent our invites out end of February, was too excited

Ha dont blame you. I have sat here for what seems like ages thinking everythings too soon, and there's plenty of time.......and suddenly its nearly here!

Utterly disorganised. Still need to sort rings, flowers, shoes, sthg for hair, cake and invitations. We decided to do a relatively last minute change of venue and date last week, so now need to confirm that and the caterers, organise crockery and glass hire, book the band and think about decorations. I sort of care, but I'm in the middle of a uni course at the mo and that won't finish until July. I have exams and essays galore until the end of April. After that I may think more about the wedding. We are, however, going to look at rings in the Jewellery Quarter on Saturday, and see if we can sort a few things at the wedding show on 17th.

Its starting to come together, got the bridesmaid dresses sorted today, really excited coz they look great, then happened to stumble across some shoes that were in the sale at debenhams, reduced from £28 to £19, bargain and exactly the right colour to match the BM dresses

Hello my fellow august brides!

I remember when i joined our weddings were a million miles away and i always remember looking at peoples tickers and seeing ones that said 5 months until our wedding.  I always thought that there would be so much to do at this point and it must be really exciting at that point of planning!
 

Well now I'm there and i feel like there still not much to do!

Think I must b missing something huge that i am meant to be doing!

I have almost finished my invites but they not going out until may so got plent time!

Think we should have a little flash!

hey everyone

time is flying! getting excited now. have all the big things sorted, last thing we did were the table decs and the mens suits. Ive finished making all the invites (long!) and now need to write them out and send them in the next couple of weeks - does anyone think this is too early?

other than that we just attending church every other sunday and looking at little bits and bobs like favours etc. xxx

I was advised by several cake makers that for what i wanted i'd be cheaper going to M&S so I'm just doing that.

Yes I am having it made. The top tier will be fake. It will all be sponge and having a seperate fruit cake to cut. I want mine all ivory/white then dusted with glitter so very plain but sparkly. I am paying £275 (I think) :)
