Quick hello and question?

Hello everyone!

I am new here. My OH and I got engaged last year but we've been waiting the arrival of our son so now that he's here we are getting down with the wedding plans! We've booked the date and venue and I *think*  I have found my dress!

I'm looking forward to posting here. I have tried to post before but for some reason I can't seem to type into the message body (using an iPad) and the only way I can do it is by typing out my message in my notes and copying and pasting it over! Has anyone else had the same problem?

I'm using an iPad and it seems to work OK, not that I've posted much!  Have you checked for any updates?  If it doesn't have IOS5, then that update might help. Hope you get it sorted.

Buzzybride - what is IOS5? ..that sounds all very technical for me!

Hi HLT, I'm on my iPad, I used to have to turn off Java in the setting however since the IOS5 update its been fine to just type. Have you updated it recently? As in plugged in to the computer? If not give this a try. Otherwise you'll have to go to settings and turn off Java when you're on hitched.

Okay, thank you!  I didn't even know I needed to do this; will get OH on the case! In the meantime, how do I turn off Java? Sorry... I'm not very good with technology! 

Its ok! Settings ->safari -> JavaScript -> off

It will more or less update itself when you plug it into your computer and turn on iTunes.  Once you have the ios5 update future update can be done over wifi and you can set it to back itself up it iCloud (apples free Internet storage) automatically so everything is automatically saved. HTH

I found that if I click the 'reply' with the yellow symbol at the top-right of a previous post, I can reply just fine. 

If I try to 'quick reply' the text box jumps all over my iPhone screen and it's impossible to type. Maybe try that and see if it works for you.
