Is this a bit strange?

Yes I find it strange but tbh il never understand people. A girl on my news feed announced 'tonight is when we start or babymaking journey' (or similar), I thought OMG why is she posting that but she had over 20 replies saying things like 'yay' etc which was strange.

I ummed and ahhed about a fb announcement, in the end I did post one. But I still had people coming up to me at 32 weeks asking if it was true I was upduffed

I'd say it's a little strange but if she's comfortable sharing then fair enough.  It's possible the idea of mc or even the prospect of TTC taking longer than a couple of months simply didn't enter her head when she started posting stuff - I know before I came on here I was one of those who was aware that not everyone got upduffed at the drop of a knicker but thought if you didn't you were one of the poor people who had something wrong.

A bit odd, yeah, but each to their own. Some people do post very intimate details of their lives on fbook. Not something I'd personally do though.

Not the way I would do things personally but each to their own - as someone else said, some people like to live their lives very publicly on FB and choose to share more than others might.

Some people really do post everything on Facebook / Twitter etc. It's not for me, I'd rather post all the TMI stuff here where I'm anonymous and keep Facebook for more general things. Plus I have all my family and inlaws on Facebook - can't imagine my husband's mum would want to know when we're having sex!  

I hope your friend is ok. It sounds like she is needing some hugs and kind words.

Yeah i've tried to reassure her because TBH I think she has completely jumped the gun by taking a small bit of spotting to mean she has had a mc. I've told her to maybe give it a little time and do another test in a few days.
