    Hi All,

I would love some advice from anyone who has experience with a wedding in Positano Italy.

It is our dream to get married in Italy and in particular, Positano. As we are on a tight budget, I am trying to do as much of it as possible myself without the help of a wedding planner. This is made more difficult by the fact that I don't speak Italian!

At present, we intend to get married at the Positano Town Hall, move to Le Siranus for 1 hour of drinks on the terrace and then up to La Tagliata for a rustic dinner. I've been in touch with Rosa Pauli in relatino to translation and Amy Turner from imag1ne for the photos. I have no idea if I am making the right decision on any of these, so if anyone has any experience with these suppliers, or can recommend something else amazing I'd love to hear about it. I'm Australian living in the UK, so Australians with experience regarding the paperwork side of things, what was your experience?

    Thank you!

    Melly

    Hi Melly.

I am getting married in Positano too, great choice Wink We wanted to plan everything ourselves too despite not speaking Italian. We contacted the town hall directly by e-mail and got speedy and very helpful responses from Silvana who works there. Everything was fine until it came to paying for the ceremony, it needs to be done in person, in cash at the Italian post office. We were not planning on going over before the wedding as we're saving hard and so as a result we are having to use a wedding planner which is fine as she will be our interpreter too. We have been recommended a planner by a friend of a friend who got married in Sorrento last year.

Good luck and let us know how you get on!!

Positano is a fantastically beautiful location.......and a place that I needed to keep my wife out of the fashion boutiques.......Kensington on Sea is possibly the best comparison....
