UPDATED: Hair - inspire me!

OK sorry it's a HUGE photo (and apologies for wearing no makeup and being knackered....)

I need help - I'm having my hair cut this afternoon and I can't decide what to do at all...  I'm extremely grey through the front of my hair and have highlights throughout (white ones now).  At the back my hair is still quite dark (ish) and show it shows an awful lot more there that I have it coloured...

I feel I'm stuck in this cycle of highlighting every 6 or so weeks, just because it'll look shite otherwise.

Help me....  Cut it all off / different colour? What

I think you need a warm honey colour and a short slick chin length bob. Is your hair naturally wavy?

KB3, yes, it's naturally curly (was partially brushed out today) - I forgot to add that I hate anything that has anything remotely red in it.  When I have a honey colour put on my hair, it tends to just go brassy and horrid and I look like a chav.

Ah that won't work then Would you be brave enough to go dark all over or you prefer being light?

I think you could go darker, with a long bob...

Do you think darker would suit me?  I've been blonde for so long... I'm really not sure on the dark any more...

Yes, darkeer but not dark...warm soft brown, I think the blonde looks a bit worn out - sorry if that offends. In the winter I love a bit of darker colour, makes you look healthier!

OK it was a long time ago, but this is me with dark hair....

I feel worn out (that's what getting up for 6am start and going to bed near midnight every night does for you!)

Go darker!  I am naturally blonde but used to highlight it, ended up being so over highlighted that hair was not in great condition and looked white blonde - overly bleached.  I love my dark hair now.  Just do it gradually.

Staying lighter is actually the best option for you here because otherwise you will be doing your white/grey roots every 3 weeks. If you went all over darker as a base and had highlights in your parting where the white comes through that could work for you?

Lauren, I don't know what to do for the best.  It just doesn't look nice at the moment, I don't think.

I've been light for so long, that it would be a real change to go back to dark, but I think my hair would be better for not being blonde still....  Aaargh!

I don't really want to have to colour my hair more than I do now.  I'll have a word with my hairdresser and see what she says...  She's going to hate me!
