Please be honest, does my dress look cheap?!

I am in love with my dress (which is returnable FYI) but it is made from polyester taffeta and although it looks great in normal photos, as soon as the room is a bit dark and there is a flash it looks crazy shiny...i'm worried it will look very cheap come the evening do when there is a lot of flash photography.  Please give me your honest opinions....

TBH it's not the best picture to be able to judge it - half in half out of a plastic bag and hanging up on a bedroom door would be a difficult look for a Vera Wang to carry off!

It doesn't look cheap - it looks shiny! Is shiny not what you want? I think if you start worrying about dresses from every angle/light/setting you will end up needing fifteen outfit changes to get through the day completely happy.

Do you like it? Yes. Will it look lovely? Yes. Job done I say!

I agree that its not the best picture to judge the dress by.  It is very shiny, but when its actually on, I'm sure it looks better.

I'd be more concerned that being polyester, you will sweat terribly underneath.  Do you have a cotton petticoat so the polyester isnt directly on you skin?  I bought a cheap Chinese dress that was polyester.  Just trying it on, I was literally dripping in sweat, I cannot imagine how it would go if I was dancing in it.

If you tried your dress on & you didnt sweat, then  I'm sure yours has a better liner than mine did.  Can you post a pic of you in the dress?

TBH all Taffata looks shiny. I'm sure it looks fantastic on though and doesn't look cheap! I agree though it's very difficult to tell when itt's half in a plastic bag xxx

Can you put it on and have someone take a photo? Personally I dislike shiny fabrics but it's not my dress! As for looking cheap - we'd need to see it on!
