Would it be taking the mick to be off work with conjunctivitis?

I have caught it from J, I woke up this morning with one of my eyes stuck shut, it was rank.

I've been at work all day, in front of a computer and my eyes are really (tmi) gooey and hurting, everytime I blink I feel like I've got razor blades under my eyelids.  It doesn't help that I'm in front of a computer all day.

Would it be taking the pi$$ to go home early and if it gets worse not come in tomorrow?

From what I understand you really shouldn't be at work with conjunctiveitis. 

It is really contagious, i.e you touch your eye, then pick up the phone, someone else then uses the phone and touches their eye etc etc.  Maybe it's more obvious in our office as we all hot desk but germs get spread so easily.  The computer concentration won't be helping either.  Go home and rest your poor eye.  And yes, if it's worse tomorrow, stay at home, it's horrid being ill, hope it clears up quick sharp.

WKJBS - i wouldn't think you should be there anyway given how easily it spreads

That's what I thought when I woke up this morning but I don't feel poorly so feel a bit of a fraud and my boss doesn't really seem to care. 

Definitely not taking the mick - it is very contagious and you'd be better at home trying to rest - IMO xxx

I wouldn't want to get that close to him.  It's got gradually worse and worse over the afternoon, I left early and will see how it is in the morning before I decide whether to go in or not.

I sprayed my phone and keyboard with sanitiser stuff so hopefully no one will catch it.

As others have said, it's contagious. You shouldn't work x

Conjunctivitis is the pits!  Are you washing it regularly with cool boiled water?
