Hey ladies I wondered what your photographer price is coming in at?

I have got a price for

full coverage from 9.30am through till 9.30pm

2 photographers for the day

album included - Jorgenson (lovely big album)

Proof book with around 300-350 images

CD of images

Pre shoot and free signning board

Online Gallery

For £1,880

How do you think this sounds!?

That might be about right.  I can't compare exactly, as we're looking for 8 hours, 1 photographer, and no albums, just getting the digital proofs for 400-450 images on disc and the online gallery for either £920 or £800 (we've already met with the former and liked her, but we have an appointment to meet the latter on Saturday).

his package without albums is:£750 with disc and one photographer.

He does seem realistic and I met him and really liked him! He seemed to know what he was on about and I looked at his work too!

Did you see a whole album, and not just a selection of his best shot's?

The prices sounds fine for a good tog.

Doesn't mean they are a good tog, it could be a rubbish one chancing their arm so make sure you see lots of their work before committing.

But yeah, decent price to service ratio there.

has he come recommended? ive got about the same as you, except from getting ready to first dance.

just wants a 50% deposit!

BUT.... how good are they? If they are poo then your £1800 would be money down the drain, if they are fabulous then i'd bite their hand off for this package!! Its not good to compare photographers just off price alone, its like saying i've bought a car with a steering wheel and 4 doors, its only £xxxx is that a good price? Some cars are pricey some are cheap - depends on the quality!! All I know is that for a similar package i'd have charged upwards of £2500. x

Ours is about £1300 for one photographer and without the album but she is FABULOUS and so talented that it's worth every penny. It's the one thing I'm really splashing out on as I hope to look at the pics time and time again and we're not having a VOG. Liking someone's work is more important than the price IMO as you don't want to be disappointed. 

Ours is £1550 for a tog and an assistant all day (she goes from preparations right through until the party is in full swing). No album, but we do get an engagement shoot and all images from the wedding day on CD with rights to print. It is definitely not 'cheap' but she is excellent. We found her through the association of master photographers site (or something similar - not sure of the exact title of the qualification), and although this doesn't necessarily mean that all togs on there will suit your idea of a good tog, it seemed a good place to start to ensure that they are well qualified and a viable, bona fide professional!

Yours sounds like a really good deal considering you got an album too! Albums from our tog are at least another £600 on top of the £1550 we've already paid (we are going to wait and see nearer the time if we fancy splashing out on one I think!)

Completely agree. Photography is not a commodity that has a known price like a tin of coke which can be 50p in one shop yet over £1 in another..

That sounds about right to me given you are getting a disk of images and an album (and a quality one at that!).  I agree with everyone else though, its not all about price.  If you love his work and get on with him, he'll be worth the money.

we're getting the same except the signing for £500 (but thats 1/2 price as its a friend of a friend) so really it's £880 cheaper!!

That does sound like a good package. Photographers can vary in prices and experience. Every bride has different requirements and budgets but as stated above, you should always check they have examples of their work and ideally full albums to show you.

I think that sounds like a good price. 

We are paying £1200 but that doesn't include any albums.

If your actually getting the same as the above package except for the signing board, then your really into budget territory considering there are 2 photographers, so I would be a little cautious on quality. If you like their work however and they have proved consistency by showing you at least a whole album, then good for you.

Having said that, quality varies considerably from photographer to photographer, some people are happy with a Kia Picanto, others are willing to pay the extra for a Mini Cooper, neither are wrong, just budget's and priorities vary from person to person.
