  • Bridesmaids Jewelery, help

I have two adult bridesmaids and I am looking for some jewelery for them. They are wearing royal blue dresses and I want to look at jewelery sets. I have seen a really nice set that are topaz but I am just not sure they will go opinions please

    Thanks

  • Re: Bridesmaids Jewelery, help

id just stick to clear crystal personally

  • Re: Bridesmaids Jewelery, help

I'd stick to clear crystal too. Also, have you considered not having a necklace with the dresses? Because of the neckline it is not really needed and perhaps a cuff style bracelet would be nice?

Hi, Personally I wouldn't wear a pendant with the one strap dress as the chances are it will end up tucking under the neckline and I'd stick to clear crystals or a royal blue stone. A Sapphire stone would be better maybe?

If your bridesmaids like dangly earrings I'd go for them and a chunkier bracelet. x

I do love topaz, and I love that set but I have to agree with Lyns deep blue and no necklace

  • Re: Bridesmaids Jewelery, help

I don't think a one shoulder dress needs a necklace - just earrings and a bracelet in my opinion.  I'd probably go for clear stones rather than blue.

    Hi Celtic,

First of all, a beautiful dress and gorgeous colour!

I think either clear, or aurora borealis crystals - if you went for a colour, as others have said, a deep blue would go nicely. Do you have another colour in your theme that you could use? Is your dress white/ivory? If so you could always have pearl (ie white/ivory) and blue necklaces to bring in both the colours of your dress and your bridesmaids - I had a bride who did this last year. She had turquoise bridesmaids and wore ivory, so we put the two together in the necklaces for both her and the bridesmaids (and also in the other jewellery and tiara/headbands), and we also brought the pearls and turquoise crystals into the bouquets for a complete 'look' please see http://www.orchardtwist.co.uk/gallery/g-artemis.shtml for the collection I did for her.

    Hope this helps.

    Sharon.

    Hi Celtic B,

I recently made a beautiful simple dangle pendant in gold. I could create this in silver and your chosen Swarovki coloured blue crystal. Alternatively I love my Alexandra necklace, this could be created in your chosen blue. Also with matching earrings.

I don't think a necklace would sit right with the one shoulder dress. Perhaps a pair of statement earrings - nice long drop? A chunky bracelet - a cuff style would work well as suggested.

Sapphire Swarovski crystal would be a good match, or stick with clear crystal and/or pearls.

I agree with what has already been said...a necklace with a one shoulder dress recommended. What about some dangly earrings...maybe in a clear so they don't compete with the lovely colour of the dress.
