  • Help with photographers

    Hey everyone,

    I'm looking at photographers for my big day and was wondering if anyone had used Big Day Productions. If so are they good? They're nice and cheap and as I'm on a cheap budget so I thought this was a good deal for me however, my dad mentioned the other day that I should really use someone that someones recommended. The only person I know who has got married is my sister and from what I can remember she spent almost £2000 on her photographer. WAY out of my budget. If anyone could help that would be great.

    Thanks =)

    I happen to know that they are more of an agent as they sub contract the work out to photographers so the work on their website may not relate to any work the photographer you get has taken, also because its not their company they may not carry the same level of care as if it was their own. On the other hand they are low budget and if its your target budget theres no harm in arranging a meeting to have a chat with the photographer.

    What part of the country are you in? as someone may be able to recommend a decent cheap photographer.

    also if you do google searches for

    wedding photographers in ...

    Im not sure where on the boarder you are but i imagine you would search haverhill, sudbury or ipswitch and look 3 or 4 pages in the searches where you will find some less established and cheaper togs.

    I've read lots of horror stories with companies who subcontract photographers.

    Essentially they have to make profit themselves, so they then pass on a small rate to their photographers, and because that rate is small they generally only attract inexperienced photographers.
