  • Mummies, your quick beauty essentials !

I always have to have some makeup on... I'd feel horrible without!  Atm E is well entertained by morning TV which gives me time to beautify myself but I know with a new baby I may struggle!

SO, what makes you look good, quick?  Ideally I'd like a compact foundation so I can literally pat some on in a few seconds .  Would love to hear of any recs.  Any radiance creams?  or good blushers/bronzers that mske quick work of imrovements?!

    Thanks!

My No7 intelligent foundation. Covers very naturally and perfectly in seconds. I used to use MAC but this is better as it gives colour too.

This isn't flying, its falling - with style

I agree the No& intelligent foundation is good as it matches your skin tone whether you are pale or tanned.

I'm a new Benefit convert. Currently using Its Potent eye cream, Erase Paste and Hello Flawless powder. Oh and how can I forget Tehy're Real mascara?! I've worn it since Friday, every day and no smudges or drooping. fab stuff.

I am a total convert of Bare Minerals. It hides the worst imperfections (my skin is hideous without) and is basically a foundation and powder and highlighter in one.

Missus S,  does it make your skin look 'flat' and powdered?  I tried a mineral powder before and wasn't keen, Is BM different do you think? x

I've just bought a fab new foundation - Bourjois Gel Healthy Mix Serum.

It goes on brilliantly and doesn't need powder on top (or moisturiser underneath if like me you are always in a real rush!) - as it's a sort of serum consistency it blends super quick and doesn't drag.

That together with black mascara and sheer lipstick is my super quick basic make up.

I cant live without my YSL Touche Eclat!  Also a decent blusher, Im using an Estee Lauder palette which gives a good colour at the moment.

    I think I might try KB3's mascara though....sounds good!

Honestly im a makeup junkie and have tried bazillions (ok i know that isnt a word but best describes..) of foundations. I also used to be a makeup artist and it is hands down the product with the best finish.

I think your on my facebook, in fact il just post quickly...

My skin is so blotchy and scarred from teenage acne and the coverage is awesome and it gives a luminous glow also so i dont have to bother with bronzer/highlighter xx

Missus S you are NOTHING like I expected!!! You're very pretty.
I use the Laura Mercier mineral foundation - I love that on school mornings I can do a few quick swirls but for night time build it up for more coverage.

I use the No7 tinted moisteriser.  If i don't have time to do proper make up then this does the job.

I am loving the latest foundation from Max Factor Ageless Elixir

Blushers - again have you tried the cream ones from MF?

I am going to try the Maybelline Dream Soft Touch blushers.

Missus S it does look nice on you!  Am going to look on Ebay see if I can find some samples to try first.

I do have a cream blush from MF that I like but find they wear off on me quite quickly... any tips for that ftm?!

MrsBB, Laura Mercier..sounds extravangant!  We don't have anywear that stocks LM near us (probably a good thing!)

FF, am going to get some YSL TE, think its probably a must!

Thank you for all these and all the other suggestions!

Keep em coming I love a makeup thread!
