    Hi there,

Does anyone have any good tips in terms of what is a good hand held game/console for a 4.5 year old?

Is a DS too advanced or not?

Have seen those Innotab's by VTech - has anyone got one - any good?

My 4.5 year old has 2 older cousins and would love a Nintendo DS, but i think it may be too difficult for her at the moment??

Anyone with any real life experience of what's good and what's not!

    Thanks

I would go for a ds but not a 3ds as they aren't supposed to be used for under 6's. there are plenty of easy child games for it, peppa pig etc. L who has just turned 2, knows how to use my DS

Have no idea on the tab systems.

Flynn has played on a DS Lite from about 3.5 with no problems, some of the games are quite easy for them (I did it mum being a favourite!)

    Flynn - February 2005 - 4lb 13oz @ 34+6

    Tate - March 2008 - 8lb 4oz @ 37+2

    Rafferty - February 2012 - 6lb 10.5oz @ 37+4

D has got the Leappad and loves it

Have heard bad things about the inotab - thats its quite flimsy and lots of people have returned them and got a leappad instead!
