  • **Saturday 2nd tri**

Morning ladies. I've been wide awake dive about 5.30am so thought it as well get the thread started!!! Had a lovely meal at friends from works last night, she's due in December so it was nice to chat babies. Think it was nice for H to chat to her husband too as he has less outlets for baby talk than I do! Off to ikea this morning to pick up some bits I need to turn spare room into nursery. This afternoon we are going to my parents to get my old cot out the loft. Can't wait, I really think I might be nesting already!!! Not much going on baby wise, she's as lively as ever! Hope you are all well. AR 21+0

    Morning Wave

AR - it sounds like you had a lovely evening last night. It's nice to switch off from everything else and talk babies! Have fun shopping at Ikea and enjoy the nesting Big Smile

MM - enjoy your breakfast! How exciting that you're getting your pram! What have you decided on? I think we've pretty much decided on the Quinny Buzz 3 but want to rule out a couple of others first. How lovely that H felt some kicks too, I'm still waiting for Parcel to play ball and let my H feel them Laugh

AFM, I'm absolutely shattered after our day shopping in London (we went to Westfield) but it was well worth it. Ended up spending quite a bit but I was desperate for clothes. I got: two nursing tops from M&P, which will be great when I get a bit bigger plus I'll have them to wear once Parcel is here, and a plain navy blue top which I got free (3 for 2 on basic tops there at the moment!) a pair of skinny jeans from M&P, 3 jumpers and a long shirt from Next which will hopefully last a while as they should allow for bump to grow and can be dressed up or down, 2 pairs of leggings from Topshop which are actually the right length for a change and finally some brown ankle wedge boots. The maternity selection in shops is still really poor to be honest so the stuff I got from Next was normal but I just went for things that will grow with my bump. It helped having my mum there as well.

I saw lots of nice things to buy for Parcel but a lot of it seems to be aimed at those who know what sex the baby is. We had a look at the furniture range we liked in M&P but having seen it we've decided against it as it felt far too flimsy. I also really like the Millie and Boris, Jamboree and Gingerbread ranges but can't decide what to go for! I was leaning towards Millie and Boris because of the stars in some of the bits and pieces and I always associate stars with my dad who's no longer with us. Silly, I know. I do feel like I need to start making some decisions though!

Anyway, enough about me! Hope everyone else is okay. IIRC, CP has a Halloween party tonight so I hope that goes well. Hopfeully pop back later for a catch up.

    Hi ladies,

I'm gonna post on both here & the 3rd tri this week, don't know where the time has gone!!

AR: Hope you managed to get your H up to get to Ikea with a lot of time to shop. Good luck furniture hunting. I can't wait to move in to our new house to decorate. Remember to show us what you've bought later

MM: Sounds like you're in for a busy day. Which prams are you looking at? Hope you get time to have a few sit downs today. Great news about the heavy kicks

Dec: Sounds like you had a productive shopping day. They really should create a department type store which has all the different maternity branded clothes in 1 place.

Valuable: I've had the leg cramp a few times when waking up, hope the mw can help. Enjoy your lazy day.

AFM: I'm a bit tired as I had to go & find my drunk husband who had missed the last train. At least I had a chance to drive my new car, luckily the sat nav is amazing. We're off to visit friends this weekend which should be fun. I got heartburn for the 1st time yesterday which is probably a start of thhings to come!

    Enjoy your weekend,
