  • Bridesmaids (movie)

Sorry if this is a repeat thread but has anyone seen this? I went last night and it was bloody hilarious!! I don't think I've ever been to the cinema when everyone is really in fits of laughter like that. I loved it and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who hasn't already been to see it.

"Someday somebody's gonna make you wanna turn around and say goodbye, till then baby are you gonna let em hold you down and make you cry"

"Panj is an absolute diamond and totally not how I imagined, she's very sweet and quiet and generally lovely"

He he, I saw it the other week, soooooooo funny!

Much better than I expected as didn't think the trailer really did it justice.

I also wasn't expecting there to be such a good story behind it all, I Love it

I went with my H and although he was expecting more of a hangover type hilarity and less of a girly story, he still really liked it. I was totally charmed though, especially by Irish Policeman! Hasn't the actor done well for himself? Had no idea he'd hit Hollywood!

Very funny and would also definitely recommend!

There were some bits which I was laughing so much, it was a bit embarrassing. Like when the guy grabs her boob and said "Can George Glass do this?" and she just says "Probably". It was not the funniest moment in the film but you know when some things just catch you funny. I was laughing at this for far too long!

Ha ha, yeah I know just what you mean. I think that's very Kristen Wiig, I've seen her in other things and her 'thing' seems to be playing completely dead pan and it kills me! She's very talented.

Do you remember the small role she had in Knocked up? Her bits are my favourite in the film, she's so funny!

  • Re: Bridesmaids (movie)

No I can't remember her in Knocked Up? Which part was she in? I feel like I've seen her before but can't remember where.

There were a couple of Trailers for films I fancied watching too. One was Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman with the sister out of Knocked Up, that looked really funny.

Oh yeah, was it the change up or something? I also thought horrible bosses looked pretty funny.

The sister out of knocked up is another actress I find hilarious - she was in something I saw recently, with adam sandler and seth rogan - think it was called funny people. That was v good.

Kristen Wiig was the one was was sat with main girls tv producer when they gave her a promotion and told her to lose weight, and then again when they confronted her about being preggers. She seems to have done lots of little roles, she was in that ricky gervais film - ghostworld? too, me and H always get excited when she pops up in things!

  • Re: Bridesmaids (movie)

Of course, I remember her now, she was really funny in that!

I never managed to sit through Ghostworld. Is it worth watching?

Yeah Funny People, I've seen that too and really enjoyed it.

I did quite like Ghostworld, even though I hate Ricky Gervais! I can't remember it now though, I don't think it was outstanding but was alright.

Love that there seem to be lots of good comedies out now, the knocked up type actors/production team seem to be banging them out!

  • Re: Bridesmaids (movie)

I saw Bridesmaids and thought a lot of it was very funny, but didn't think it was as good as The Hangover.  Some of it was a bit "meh".  Loved the burly one though.

I want to see the boss one and Bad Teacher.

I went last week Panj and cried with laughter through almost the whole film, the starting scene made me choke on my popcorn and when she called that girl a twunt!!! haha!!! Absoloutly brilliant!

24/07/11 = the happiest day of my life Smile

  • Re: Bridesmaids (movie)

I saw Bad Teacher last night - it was pretty funny but more of a 'catch it on dvd / sky' film for me. Definitely worth a look still though Smile

Ha ha Claire had forgot about the twunt scene, too funny!

  • Re: Bridesmaids (movie)
