O/T What are ur pet hates

My OH does the exact same thing

People in the Super market car park bimbling thoughtlessly in front of your car whilst you are trying to either park or leave.

The checkout assistant who asks if you need any help packing when you only have three things.

Buying something in a shop and being asked if you would like a bag - this really bugs me. It's not crack a jack, yes I would like a bag!

Boy racers with pimped up cars and ridiculous exhausts - why?

Snoring

Blokes scratching their nutts whilst you are trying to have a conversation with them.

Patronising teachers, plenty of experience of this creature!

People who can't get in the correct lane and then cut in.

Spelling nitpickers, I have two Dyslexic children who work hard to get it right but mistakes are inevitable, not all dyslexics are children!

And worse still, the assistant who asks if you want any help with your packing and when you say No, they just ignore you and start packing for you anyway.  I always say No because they put too much stuff into one bag and I can't lift the damn things.  I dislocated my shoulder once and it soon pops out if I carry too much.

So I was sat in work yesterday and the girl next to me has a cold and was continually snurching/sniffing. I felt like screaming, just go and get a tissue and blow ur bloomin nose!!!! Was so annoying

Sadly, due to having chronic sinusitis I go through phases of being like this and although I constantly blow my noses I also sniff quite a lot. Anyway, one of my colleagues pointed out thet it was annoying for her and since that day I have done everything i can not to offend her by taking myself off to the ladies when i feel the need to sniff/blow my nose. Anyway... the point im getting to is that although i have done all i can not to upset her, she recently had the cheek to get upset with me because i politely asked her not to sit there slowly crunching her cough sweets (which are not meant to be blooming crunched!!!) so Pet hate

1) people who do not want you to do things that irritate them but its fine to irritate you!!

2) Lazy people who do all they can not to do their jobs  by chatting, surfing the net and playing on their mobile (especially while I sit there drowning in too much work, not taking lunch breaks and working over time!)

3) people who do not let me finish my manouver - im reversing on to my drive so that I can see when i need to go out again so sitting on my butt isn't going to make me move any quicker!

4) People who tailgate even though I am doing the speed limit, if not more! If you sit behind me I will delay you more!

5)bad service in restaurants/ pubs

5) people who talk over movies ...... if i wanted running comentary i would have played that version!

6) people who bag up their dog poo and then leave that on the side of the pavement! Whats the point!!

Anyway, I havent eaten all day so i need to go eat before I loose the plot completely.

eternallyme, I am exactly the same with my nose. I have allergic rhinintis and can't help that I am constantly congested. In my job I physically can't touch my face so I have to sniff through operations and people always ask if I have a cold. 

I hate bad spelling too especially when people write till when they mean 'til- it's short for until.

Someone mentioned dyslexia, my brother is dyslexic and I think it is usually obvious when someone is. I look on facebook and so many people who I know aren't dyslexic have terrible spelling.

Bad manners

Lateness

Lazyness-especially when people don't return the shopping trolley's back where they belong. It's not that hard and it stops cars getting scratched.

Dishwashers-pointless, smell, don't do a good job of cleaning, Make the dishes look scratched, I just don't see what's so hard in washing with hands and they waste energy ( we're supposed to be looking after the environment )

I better stop there, I'm sounding like a grumpy arse. hahaha

My biggest one is being late! I hate being late and people meeting me being late!

And people with a negative attitude/no sense of personal responsibility

People who are raciest/sexist etc. I REALLY hate it when someone says something raciest to me thinking I'll agree as Im white - er hello just because Im white doesnt mean you can say what you want, my cousins are black and some of my husbands family are Asian RRRRRRRRR Also Ive had people ask me to recruit (when I was a recruitment consultant) a man/young/young person just because they wanted a man or woman working in their company - they soon had a mouth full off me!! LOL

People leaving lights on when they're not in a room and the phrase "I'm going back in there in a minute" does NOT qualify as a valid response!! 

People being arrogant and just plain ignorant 

People who interrupt when you are talking

People who make the conversation ALL about them...for instance, we could be discussing the Japan disaster, or the troubles in Libya, and they manage to bring it back to them.. 

People with REALLY poor spelling...that drives me insane!!

I use the phrase - We're you born in a barn?! CLOSE THE DOOR!! - 

OOOH and people who leave the loo seat up....and people who come in to your house and start rearranging the kitchen because "it's not how my kitchen is at home" Get over it! It's MY house, my kitchen is how I want it! Just because you're my mother in law does NOT mean you can drive me mad!! GRR

OH MY GOD! I need to stop reading this thread ... I keep finding things that I hate and that drive me mad...this one being one of the worst! I hate it a till in a shop is spelt like that - otherwise it isn't!! 

It drives me mad when people spell things incorrectly when they're writing on a board for outside a shop/pub etc

Middle lane drivers - Crikey, how hard is it to overtake and then move back to the left????

If they are doing the maximum speed limit, is this a problem? If you are doing 70, you would be consistently changing lanes and speed which is more dangerous, plus, often the inside lane has lorry rucking on the tarmac which makes travelling at 70 more dangerous....indeed the professional services are advised to use the central lane if they are doing 70 as this is deemed "safer"........logic is that at 70, you change lanes less which makes you a safer driver and if someone wants to break the law, they still have the outside lane.

I would agree though with Chidders if the drivers were using the middle lane under the speed limit.....

Also, one major thing I hate is drivers on roundabouts who signal that they are exiting the roundabout far too early

How about Superdrug or Wilkinson who always annoyingly ask you if you want stamps or top up for your phone at the check out. Out of principle I would buy from somewhere else as this really annoys me.....

My pet hate de jour:

Charity Shop Assistants who treat you like rubbish. I have been stared at, ignored, belittled and followed around charity shops. This always annoys me more as I used to volunteer in one and loved it, did well there and only left because my job meant I had no time.

What little spare money we have invariably is spent in charity shops, be it on clothes, records, VHS tapes, books or housy bits.

The worst incident was when I was a teenager and I was banned from a charity shop for looking weird. I went in there to buy an absolute shedload of books and they damn near shoved me out of the door! Went in there last year and I was complimented on my clothes - what a difference *mumble* years makes!

In summary: We support you, we do so regularly so stop treating us like rubbish!

When you tell someone something you KNOW is true and they say "Hmm... you might be right." This drives me round the bend.

Switches again, namely visitors who leave lights on. Especially the bathroom as it's got a fan so when people come to stay and go to the loo and leave the light on they leave the fan on too. I don't understand how someone can be an adult and not grasp that you don't leave lights on in other people's homes, it is wasteful and rude. Presumably this means they wastefully leave them on in their own homes.

People who offer unsolicited lectures on what I should/shouldn't do for my wedding. Sigh.

The carers who visit our elderly downstairs neighbour who regularly ring all the other bells (we're in a converted house with about four or five flats in) and disturb my partner who sometimes works late and needs to sleep, and the elderly neighbour upstairs. There is a key for them and not one of them seems able to use it. They've done it three times in the last week, it's driving me nuts. Especially when they wake us up early on a saturday morning...

Shop assistants who don't understand that "I'm fine, thanks, I'll let you know if I need help," doesn't mean I want them to bounce up and down maniacally every time I so much as look at something asking if I know how to use it/want it demonstrated etc. Can only shop in Lush with my iPod on...

People who have a go at me for being veggie. Er, I don't have a go at meat-eaters, so shut up?
