i'm pretty sure there is no venue hire fee at cas mila. or most venues for that matter.

i think cas mila generally serve lunch as usual, and then the wedding is set up immediately afterwards......

I've actually found that most venues have an exclusivity fee.  Of course it depends on how many people you have.  Lunch normally doesn't end until 4:30 or 5:00 at most places.  I ate at Cas Mila this past weekend and we were done with lunch at 4:30, and people were still eating.

They allow you to keep the music going until 3:00???  Mine is midnight.  Thats why I'm worried.

midnight is unusually early - where is your wedding??

i've played to 2am and beyond at pura vida most times but i have to be very careful with the volume level after midnight......

Paissa de Bernat.  Have you played there before?

exclusivity fee is different to venue hire fee - cas mila will let you hold a wedding there without having exclusivity.

only one or two venues have a compulsory venue hire fee and most venues work on a minimum spend basis - 60 people seems to be about the norm to get the venue to yourself without paying an exclusivity fee.....

this was for 2011, not sure if it's changed much for 2012 and 2013 but it would be great if you could share what you found too.....

Yes, we were told that after midnight, the speakers just get turned around, so they're facing inside. Then we'll just move the dancing inside. But I'm assured it won't be a problem at all. I'd put your queries to your venue and your DJ and see what they say. This was really important to us which was one of the main reasons we chose Pura Vida, as we found them more accommodating in this way. I didn't want to risk the party being over at midnight! x

they also get turned down a fair bit at that time and the doors are closed too, so try and get the party well underway by around 22:30 to make the most of your time outside.....

also, it can be pretty hard to move the crowd inside at midnight, so make sure the bride and groom are straight inside and on the dancefloor ;-)

Hi! I've just joined too, Our wedding is June, in Jesus Church then Amante too., can't wait! We are basing ourselves at Talamamca for the week,

Have been stressing a little on the times too and have confirmed church for 2pm and straight to Amante after that. Are you doing anything after Amante, like an after party?

Also has anyone made plans for the next day? We are having a get together in Ocean Drive in Talamanca and hoping to go t a club afterwards - has anyone got any tips on getting a group onto guest list for Pacha for example, so you can have an area reserved :-)

We've been to ibiza for the last few years in Oct so i'm not too worried about the sunsetting but i was worried we'd not have long enough to party afterwards but my minds been put at rest - thanks avaryone.

Cas Mila does give the option of exclisivity but we decided not to bother - the layout means that the wedding will be quite seperate anyway.

We have decided to do something the day before the wedding with all of our guests rather than the day after. Were going to have a picnic at sunset near es vedra -it will be almost a year to the day that we got engaged at the same place.

that's quite a popular option for weddings, but it's a minimum of €150 per person for the VIP - that's the only way to get an area reserved. to be honest, i think that money is much better spent on chartering a boat.

I've DJed at a fair few two day weddings where they partied the day before, or the day after, on a sailboat or catamaran and they've all been amazing!!!

Some people even have the whole wedding on a boat, ceremony and all, which I think is brilliant.

    Hey Ibizalovin

What have you decided to do about the earlier service/entertaining guests?

    Hi there everyone,

Just signed up - been meaning to do it for months but kept getting sidetracked - you know how it is while wedding planning!

I'm another Ibiza bride - Getting married in San Carlos church on the 10th of June, and it can't come quick enough! Felt it was only right as it is my second home and has been for my family for the past 50 years.

Having a reception/meal at our family friends apartment complex, something a wee bit different, and I honestly cannot wait to get over there again! Oh and of course get married, ha!

    xx

Hi, we're looking at other church options and it looks like we might be going with San Jose. It is so much further to travel but its so beautiful and the timings work better.

We have to take ££ into account when thinking about timing v. travel v. feeding people entertaining all that sort of thing... bleugh if only budget was not an issue Wink

    Welcome new Ibiza brides!

While I'm here does anyone know how I can get extra luggage (read wedding cr*p) across to the island. Was going to take it as spare baggage but suddenly have more than I thought I would. Have had a email from Excess Baggage and they've qouted about £120 door to door for approx 30 kgs, I dont have that much but they have a 25kg min. I think £120 sounds reasonable but wondered whether you knew any others?

I've just booked an extra suitcase onto the plane, so I'll have my hand luggage with my dress in, and 2 hold suitcases.  Then my OH will have his hold case and hos hand luggage.  I think it cost me an extra 30 quid.
