    Bink:

    Hi

I really want to get some Trofast units as E's toys are multiplying but I'm having trouble convincing H as he says they will be flimsy.  Are they? They look quite solid to me judging by your photos.

    Thanks

Thanks CK. Will work on him. I'm desperate to get them - it's driving me nuts looking at all the clutter around the living room and kitchen!

We were goingto get the Trofast unita as well but the boys also needed new wardrobes, so we went for the Ikea Pax wardrobes. All the clothes hang in the top half and then the bottom half we have large plastic drawers - 1 for train tracks, 1 for Bob The Builder stuff, 1 for fancy dress etc etc. All the Imaginext/Little People/Happyland stuff sits on the shelf on top of the drawers but underneath the clothes IYKWIM?? hmmm not a good description, will take pics!!

Its so lovely being able to close the doors on the toys, although we still have loads in the lounge so need to work on storage for those.

Thanks LadyLeah.  I do know what you are describing as we have the Pax system in our bedroom.  We're a bit stuck for the space for one of those systems in the baby's bedroom but it's a good idea!

Another vote here for Trofast from Ikea.  Brilliant and if you label them, the kids know where everything belongs and can help tidy.  Well that's the idea anyway!

Cheeky Wipes -  baby wipes all-in-one kit for disposable or washable nappies, better for the planet, your baby & your pocket!

Instant Forever -  Instant Photo Guest Books for Polaroid, Fuji Instax or Digital Prints

    Bellabop:

    We have this from Ikea:

We use it horizontally and have slide in fabric boxes in 2 colours in a kind of chequerboard effect. It holds loads inside and also stacked on top

we have expedit too. Just one 8 hole unit. We had it on end in our last house, where we were a bit short of space, but now we have a playroom it's on its side. We have 6 cheap fabric boxes and a couple of open holes. We started out with trofast boxes in the expedit unit, but then realised the expedit boxes are virtually twice the size of the trofast boxes even though they don't seem to take up much more space. The trofast ones are really sturdy though, and it's handy being able to have different size ones.

I'm pretty sure expedit is designed to be flexible and be stood whichever way up you fancy. It feels very solid.

No, no problems at all. It says on the website that it can be used either way so I wouldn't imagine any problems. It is mega sturdy and holds loads!
