Monday 1st trimester

Morning everyone. How are you all? I'm still being sick. I'm sitting in hospital with hubby awaiting his exploratory Op. I told the nurse I was expecting and she brought me tea & toast! Isn't that lovely? She was busy booking patients in. Mrs Bellajour 10 weeks

Sorry to here your being sick... but how nice of the nurse to bring you tea/toast!  Hope the sickness passes soon.

AFM i was 7 weeks yesterday and have to say that yesterday was the first day i've felt totally awful... sickness (although i only threw up a little bit) it was the feeling that lasted all day... plus i have an awful sore throat.

Trying not to moan but it really wasn't a very pleasant day!

Tricky - sorry you are having a bad time of it.  It is annoying when the feeling of nausea wil not go.

AFM, 10+4, starting to feel a bit more human in the morning at the weekends when I get enough sleep.  I even managed a couple of hours in the garden on Saturday, then had to have a nap of course!!!  The nausea then creeps up on me after lunch and then I am useless.  I am spending way too much time on the sofa and I feel so guilty.  H is being fab about it.  Still eating prunes for days, I had 8 last night and finally there was a bit of an effect!!!  Am going to continue and hope this doesn't last the whole 40 weeks...   Sorry for moaning, am hoping I will be jollier when I move to 2nd Tri!!

I've been feeling pretty queasy over the weekend; can't figure out if I'm hungry and just not able eat much or if I actually feel sick. Doesn't sound as bad as you guys though.

Told my manager on Friday about being pregnant - I have quite a long commute so wanted to let her know I'm planning on working from home one day a week (which I generally try to do anyway) as I'm pretty knackered. She was really excited for me - and she had an awful first pregnancy so very sympathetic. Not telling anyone else yet - except our parents, who we're seeing this weekend so can't wait to tell them

Afternoon ladies.

8+1 today going by early scan. Just got an appointment through for my 12 week scan. 2nd December, which is also my sons 7th birthday, so hoping it's still good news when I go.

Been feeling queasy, but haven't actually been sick. Also had really bad cramping which is disturbing my sleep and making me really grumpy. OH asked if he could do anything to help and I snapped at him saying "NO, I think you've done enough haven't you?" Whoops!!!

My son knows I'm pregnant, but we're waiting until after the 12 week scan before we tell his 2 kids.

Just at home passing time before I pop to the docs.  I have had real pain in my hip and leg today so called the midwife.  She has booked me an early scan for Weds but said to call back if it got worse. 

After lunch both my legs went jelly-like and I've had such bad back pain I just can't get comfortable sitting or standing.   And then after about 10-15 minutes is passes.  Reminds me of the pain I had with endo / IBS.  Doc would like to check me out in case it's something i've dont to my back.  Hopefully I'll still get my scan and we will see something to put my mind at rest.   I'm still feeling queasy, tired, sore boobs, just wish it didn't feel like my leg was about to fall off!

Tricky – Rubbish about yesterday, have you been any better today?  I hope it was just a 1 off day!

AFM – I am 5 weeks today, need to book my doctors appointment tomorrow to make it all official.  At the moment other than being a bit tired, I have no other symptoms – I don’t know whether to worry about that or not?! xx

Sorry you all seem to be havng a rubbish time of it. I have slightly sore boobs but thats it. I'd like actually some morning sickness or something to provide further confirmation of what the pregnancy tests told me!  (i might reget saying that)

Sorry to join and then scoot off to 2nd tri almost straight away, but thought I should at least pop my head round the door after peeking in through the window for so long! It's probably just as well I haven't been posting on here as I've been really lucky again and not been sick, just a bit queasy, and as long as I eat pretty much constantly from 3pm to 9pm I'm generally ok. Bloody knackered though! Plus my skin has been horrendous this time round, hoping it will clear up soon..

Off to see my midwife tomorrow - she's the same one I saw with D and she was a fab support after he was born even though she didn't need to be involved at all. I'd asked to see her at booking in but the stoopid receptionists just put me in with a random midwife even though I'd asked for her specifically - the midwife I saw at booking in became a bit pale and headachey about 5 minutes in to my appointment as I explained my history and agreed that 'you really should see Kirsty, not me!' I guess I'm an awkward case!

I need to get back into the habit of doing personals, it's been a while, but in the meantime lots of anti-vom vibes heading to those in need

Hi all - I know it is no longer Monday but think this is the last one.

I love reading all your symptoms (I know you are not all enjoying them!!!). 

I got my BFP at the weekend so sheepishly joining you all.

This is my second baby and didn't suffer too much in the first pregnancy but know they are all different.  I need to go to doctors and let them know so I can get a scan date for later this year.

Hi Lovely Ladies - I know that its not Monday - but couldn't find another 1st tri thread. 

AFM - I'm 12 weeks tomorrow according to the early scan I had, but 12+2 according to my dates.  I have my 12 week scan tomorrow morning and I am a bit scared about it and quite excited about it.  I am still feeling sick and in fact was sick before I went to bed last night.  I also fell asleep at 7.30 on the sofa last night and woke up at 10pm and then went straight to bed and fell straight to sleep again.  My H keeps telling me that everything will be fine tomorrow, but I am worrying slightly given my history of 3 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy.  We did get to see a teeny tiny baby on the screen complete with a heartbeat when we had our scan on the 24 September, so any good luck vibes you can send our way would be very much appreciated.

AFM - I am 5+2, went to the doctors today and tell them, now just the wait for sickness to kick in by the sounds of it!! xx

 

Good evening everyone! Not really been around much on the 1st tri thread but thought I should make more of an effort.

I'm 8+2 today and feeling a bit more positive that this pregnancy will turn out OK. I started bleeding the last time at 8+2 so my aim was to get to today with no signs of anything going wrong and i've managed! I have an early scan on Friday morning so hoping to see a wee heartbeat

I have no symptoms at all though which is worrying me slightly, I'm longing for my boobs to get sore like they did 1st time round Although I do have signs of a little bump appearing even though i'm only 8 weeks, I guess they do say you show earlier but I didn't think this soon - CK1985 is convinced it's twins, guess we'll find out of Friday!

MrsBellajour - sorry to hear you're still being sick, hope it passes soon

Evening!

We had our early scan today, due to pains, but everything is ok and in the right place.  Dates confirmed as 6+5 so we are doing well.  Got some lovely photos which I shall treasure.
