I'm not so much laughing at the story, more the comment that 'the dog appeared to have made a mistake'. No sh it.

I had the same thought Laugh.

Ok, I lied on the other thread, this is the funniest one I've read for ages.

Ack, least I'll be in good company.

Snort. Erm, poor woman, and so on. Snort.

  • Re: I'm going to hell

I must really be tired. I read the thread title as "I'm going to bed".

  • Re: I'm going to hell

I do think the poor woman must have been terribly humiliated, but the story has really only been reported for a bit of  giggle I think. Bet she'll be getting a new dog.

as an aside, I find guide dogs absolutly amazing!

Why is there a yellow star on this thread but an orange one on some of the others?

  • Re: I'm going to hell

We used to have two blind men and their dogs come into our pub every morning for a cup of tea (and a bowl of water for the dogs). One day I was filling in the specials board and Mr Somers had to tell me to go into the cellar after I overheard one say to the other 'Will I see you tomorrow?'.Devil Cue a very badly attempt at concealed laughter.

This was a motif in late 1970s/early 1980s Italian horror films for some reason - I can think of at least two (Suspiria and The Beyond, for anyone who cares) that featured possessed guide dogs turning on their hapless owners.

I too am going to hell, as it's impossible to read that story without suppressing a giggle - and now that I've been reminded of The Beyond I know what hell looks like. (A lot of unconvincing painted backdrops and shuffling zombies, as I recall, so not that much different).

As someone else said, how do they know? Maybe she actually forgot the give the dog its usual biscuit treat and it tried to get its revenge!
