Blimey, she only asked a question ROTFL

Kizmya, I would probably take a card and a bottle of good wine or champagne.  Have fun.

I was spelling it out like that so that it wouldn't be starred out by the swear monitor, not to patronise you. Weep Wires crossed?

Thank you, I'll try. I'm sure she'll be over the moon with the grand I give her.Wink

    ROTFL Sorry!

Wires crossed. It's difficult to read the tone of a post.

Realised I never answered the OP - I would take a bottle of something (around £10 I would think) and a card.

No more arguing from me <goes and stands in the corner>

    Nah - I'm quite thick-skinned! And I was being a s m a r t a r s e.

Now that we're friends again - please can you tell me how to get the stupid quote thing to work. It's driving me daft!

  • Re: How much would you spend

Just a card and a bottle of wine/chocolates probably

  • Re: How much would you spend

Another vote for card and wine/bubble, in fact I probably wouldn't even take a card.

Whoever suggested a £5 Boots voucher - wtf? If someone gave me that I would think that they were a. tight as a nun's chuff, and b. totally lacking any class or imagination. Sorry.

Sure- when you click reply, wait for the flashing cursor to appear in the white message box. If you look up, there should be a grey box of text, and underneath it, the button 'quote'. click on quote, wait a few secs for the quote to appear in the white box,  then hit return for a new para and type your message. Big Smile

Aha! I was being too impatient and clicking on 'quote' before the message box had finished loading.

    Thanks! Cool

In the unlikely event that our neighbour would ever invite us to a party, then def a bottle of plonk and maybe a card.
