    to put it simpley...

I told him on msn how stressed I am  and that I wished he wasn't working away all the time because being pregnant, feeling sick and tired and having to deal with all the house work in our already beyond messy house and our nearly 5 year old and 3 year old and dog, is driving me insane! I am on anti D's anyway for stress and I've had a bad week. We have our long awaited scan on monday. The end of my teather had been reached ages ago.

I said, in desperation 'I sometimes think we shouldn't be having this baby now'

and he said 'best get the knitting needle out then!'

I know he only said it because he is stressed at work, and doesn't want to hear me whinginI, And he wasn't serious, but really?

    mean, yuck, not nice.

anyway I went offline because I think that was just unfair. He's lovely and supportive to a point normally, grrrrrr

he is away until monday morning, two nights in london at a hotel. I don't really want to talk to him about it anymore, fed up with repeating myself and feeling like it's tough luck. I'll just be a wreck.

    but thanks for replying.

Oh no, I can see why you would find that upsetting. Hug

If it's any consolation my H has quite a black sense of humour and that is just the kind of thing I can imagine him saying trying to be funny. When I'm feeling well I can just roll my eyes at him, but when I'm feeling down I've lost it at him a few times for not having more sensitivity.

I'd explain to him when he gets home how much that comment upset you.

    WMMS

my H likes to make jokes ALL the time - he sees it as a way of lightening the mood and trying to relieve some of the stress, but doesn't appreciate that there is a time and place...

I have been hurt quite badly by some of my H's comments - now if he pi$$es me off, I call him Steve which is that insensitive eejit from 'one born every minute' so he gets the picture!

I know u say ur fed up with it, but u need to chat to him about it when he gets home.

hope it all goes well lovely and you get through to him

thanks for the understanding, I know he meant it in a sarcastic way...but it is hard when he's not here for me to give him a slap!
