I am currently trying to sort out my sons CTF etc, and figured that as we get such crap returns on our money with current bank that maybe I should change our current account to.

So does anyone have any recommendations? I really just need a good rate of interest and a linked savings account.

     Thanks for any advice. Thanks

We've just changed our joint account to the Coventry First from coventry BS - great interest rates, £250 interest free overdraft, very good customer service.

I'm going to make a recommendation that you do NOT choose Abbey. We've been with them 7 months and are moving our account as their service is so dreadful and no-one will take responsibility for sorting anything out. We've had direct debits bounced when there's enough cash available, cheque books stopped and charges for their mistakes but no-one at the branch or central services can apparently do anything about it.
