Not sure if you would be interested but a friend of mine is setting up as a wedding videographer and needs to do 2 or 3 free events to build up a portfolio.  He is already doing ours and has asked me to put the word out!

He is prepared to work anywhere in the M25 and is looking to do something as soon as possible.  He has already doen a number of music videos and short films,  but needs the Four Weddings...not sure about the Funeral!

Anyway.  If you if you want to chat to him and arrange to see his other stuff,  thats up to you.  Personally,  I can't believe my luck that I'm getting mine done for free!!! Big Smile

    His number is 07581074022

    Good luck

    Hi Emma

I most definitely recommend...us Smile  One And Only Films.  We're basedin Leyland and cover all of the North West.  We've filmed the weddings of at least five hitchers.  The website (www.oneandonlyfilms.co.uk) is being redeveloped at the monent but there are some examples of our work on the blog at www.oneandonlyfilms.co.uk/blog

    Hi Emma

What is your budget for a videographer - I ask because like I mentioned in a previous post I liaise with a lot of videographers and may be able to find you a great deal that is affordable in your budget.   What you ideally want is someone who is flexible but provides good quality work without charging the earth (this can be difficult at times but still doable).  Whereabouts in  the North West are you based?

    Hi Tracey

Sorry for late reply! We were not looking to spend over £500 really which I know is very tight but working with what we have. If you can suggest anyone that would be great. I am based in Manchester and getting married in Cheshire

    Thanks

Hi Emma thanks for the information.  I've looked on the IOV website and there are lots of videographers in the North West.  I don't know them all of course but having master membership given by the IOV is something that is generally considered good.   Why not give this fellow member a call and see what he can do within your budget.  His name is Jeffrey Mortimer and contact details are: 01663 762354.  He is based in Stockport and web address is http://www.jsmvideography.com/Index.html  There is no prices on there however.

Whatever you do though don't skimp on quality for cheap as you may be disappointed on the end result.   Is there anything that I can help you with we can be quite flexible we try and accommodate budgets within reason?  Is there a family member that could help out with some additional pennies for this - I only ask as it is expensive but there is an awful lot of time (many hours in fact) after the wedding editing footage and putting it all together.  We paid £925 for our videographer and that was a medioca package!   Nothing ever leaves our house without us being 110% with it.  If we're happy  with it then we know that our client will be happy.  We are our worst critics!

Please let me know how you get on and if I can help!  Smile

    Hi there

I run a media company called Black Mountain Films based in South Wales. If you have friends and family filming your wedding as they always do, you can send us the footage and we will edit it, put music of your choice over it, split it into chapters and supply you with three copies of it on DVD.

Alternatively we can film you wedding for you using non HD cameras (regular video cameras) and do all of the above also.

If you send us the footage it is £140 per hour of footage that you send us.

If we come and shoot your wedding it is £200 for the whole day and night plus travel and £200 for the edit.

We also do a more expensive HD package if you would like the prices, but they start at £850.

We've found that some people just like the memories on video and not all of the fancy HD stuff so that is why we offer different options to most. We're currently constructing a new website, but if you would like and example of some work that we've done, email me at marcljones@gmail.com and i'll get a showreel to you.

    Cheers!!
